This is a great app to catch up your old Chinese you learned from school by drilling it in different ways, and have plenty of room to learn more. It's measurably improved my Chinese while working at an airport. My one suggestion, I'd love the option to favorite words or phrases you select from a sentence so you can create your own vocabulary list of things to work on. Since many times you will find new words you won't officially learn until later lessons.

You have to pay if you want to use the app seriously. When there's a discount, it's about £30-40 a year, which is an okay price. I'm learning as a "heritage speaker" (meaning I was surrounded by Chinese speakers growing up but I never received formal Chinese education and I'm primarily an English speaker. If you're in the same boat as me, this app is pretty good to learn new phrases and improve reading/writing. I recommend getting Dong Chinese's dictionary app to complement your learning.

Excellent tool. Really pushes you to speak out loud and improve your Pronunciation, which can be tough at first, certainly builds your confidence and trains your ear. I'm pairing this with Hanly to memorize Hanzi, and it's the dream combo. The price offers great value, but you can just get the Plus version and use whatever AI you're subscribed to to practice if you don't want to pay extra for the AI version. Overall 10/10.
