Needed to switch music players recently and this is my new go-to. It's quick to launch, needs no manual settings to work out of the gate, and has an easy, intuitive UI. Playback is clean and smooth. Repeat snd shuffle work well. The different galleries are simple to navigate. I do miss smart playlists but those are rare in apps these days. The manual playlist system is a bit clunky for building lists but it works.

I've been looking for the right music player for too long and this one is it. It has a solid UI, easily customizable, has a built in tag editor to add album art or other details. I don't have any complaints about it, and I think it's well worth the 1 or 2 USD that the dev is asking for the pro version. I would I need three things from the developers: more advanced features in the tag editor, the ability to hide artists and albums (to reduce clutter of miscellaneous artists), and a desktop version.

I've been using this app for years now and recommended it to several people. But it's been a nuisance lately. It doesn't detect new music I've downloaded, even though they're in .mp3 format. I've scanned the folders containing the music, and it says "can't open file" when I click on a file through folders. The app crashes every time I open details of such files. It plays well with other default players without issues. I'll probably switch to a different player, even though I don't want to.
