Along with other sources and my own study plan, I've made good process and hope to find practice partners soon! A feature I would recommend is that in your favorite words section, being able to add a recording of your current pronunciation of a word. Something you can re-listen to later and re-record as you improve! It would also be nice if you can have a quick speak aloud option in the favorite words, like in the lessons, so one can work on words they need practice with.

I don't often give apps 5 stars, but SuperChinese is really good. It introduces new vocabulary and grammar slowly but systematically revisits it, meaning no need for flashcards. this makes a natural and relatively low effort learning process. the pronunciation check is not perfect but it's pretty good for a phone app. you will probably need a different system for learning to write.

Initially I had a problem with the sign on page that immediately appears when starting the app. The only language on the opening page was chinese. However after working with the support team we fixed the problem by clearing the app data and cache. So far I've used the free version and found to be very useful but the paid version appears to have great depth of features and value so I'll definitely be upgrading shortly. I was also pleasantly surprised by the prompt response by the support team.

I tried many other apps. Two years of Doulingo everyday strike, still can't say a sentence. This app feels to be much more effective to practice speaking. It really checks your pronunciation which is the best part! It used to give me the score for each phrase I said, I feel it was much better than now (comparing me with the other users). I wish it could be chosen as an option in the settings. But overall a great app, the team answers all your questions really fast! It is totally worth its money!
