The game is designed in a classic j-rpg style, where users will move around and explore the open world, interacting with the inhabitants and completing quests. During the journey you will have to take part in turn-based battles, made in a retro style, mixed with the anime drawing of the key characters in the story.The story in Waifus Smash tells the story of a young boy who wakes up to an urgent message from the head of the village. The protagonist discovers the terrible danger hanging over the inhabitants and sets out to solve the problems of the poor and unprotected inhabitants. On his way hero meets a lot of pretty girls, who will have to bail out of trouble and help return home. Saving The Waifus!

The whole premise of the game is that you play as a hero who wants to save these hot chicks and then make them his wife! Waifus Smash has more dialogue than I thought it would, but there is not this massive epic story to it all. Waifus have been kidnaped and are imprisoned and you want to save them. Hey, that is good enough a premise for me!

Making Your Moves

Each level in Waifus Smash is the same from a gameplay point of view, but each one poses a different challenge. Each level is its own contained screen with one of the several Waifus that you need to save located somewhere. You have a certain amount of moves that you can use in each level and you need to make your way to the girl in order to save her. It sounds very easy, but there are enemies, boxes, and sometimes even stuff like traps and keys that you need to focus on too.You can hit enemies into each other, walls, and boxes. If you walk into an enemy or a trap, it can cost you some of your moves. Some levels will have the Waifu locked behind a door, so you need to make your way to the key before you can get to her. It sounds basics, but as far as Sokoban puzzle games go, this one is offering a lot of fun even if it is a tad on the simplistic side of things.

With Great Art Comes Great Responsibility

As you would expect from any lewd game with a lot of self-respect, Waifus Smash has some fantastic graphics. The actual Sokoban aspect of the game is done in a 16/32-bit top-down style and it looks great. The CGs that the game offers are amazing, each girl looks great and there is a lot of variety to the Waifus here so there is something for everyone. It has a very anime look about it all which is always something that I enjoy a great deal.
