Story:

In the shadows of Earth's orbit, Noëlle, 18F, awakens aboard the ISS with fragmented memories and a burning desire for vengeance. Descending to Petaputua, a sprawling, neon-lit metropolis, she finds a city drenched in decadence and danger. Here, technology and humanity intertwine in ways both thrilling and forbidden.

Petaputua’s streets are rife with vice and violence. Cybernetic thugs, seductive rogue AIs, and ruthless corporate enforcers dominate the city's underbelly. Each encounter pushes Noëlle to her limits, testing her skills and her resolve.

In this city of sin, power comes at a price. Noëlle must navigate a world of corrupt deals and illicit pleasures to gain the upper hand. Grinding for experience and gold is essential, with rewards that go beyond mere survival—upgrading equipment, learning new, provocative skills, and indulging in the city's dark temptations.

Victor, the enigmatic antagonist, manipulates the chaos from the shadows. His true motives remain hidden, but his influence pervades every corner of Petaputua, driving Noëlle towards a confrontation that promises to be as intimate as it is deadly.

The game is very pretty, the menu is well-designed and pleasing to the eye, I missed a little animation to make it even more beautiful, and the music really captivated me. The menu is simple... too simple, I miss several things, one of which I'll comment on in a moment.The story seems interesting to me, it's basic and almost generic, but it's that kind of “generic” that can turn into something very good, since being original with stories these days is quite difficult. Gameplay... well, my computer isn't that great, but I don't think I should be running at 20 or 22 fps in a pixel game, I don't know what it is, if the game is badly optimized or if my computer is a potato (probably both), but I felt that there could be graphic options for people who don't have a decent computer like me. As for the combat, I found it... lazy. The shots have no animation, at most the pistol moves, but there are no bullets, you shoot straight and hit an enemy crawling, the dash is badly done, it looks like you just teleported by letting out a giant fart backwards, and since I'm at a low fps, I can't tell if the dash is good or bad, since I took all the possible blows I could take because of it.I'm really looking forward to this game being updated, because everything about it really captivated me. Oh yes, if you've read about the H-Scene, they're not game-over scenes, but in-game, which is a plus (for me at least), and they're very lively, and you kind of decide whether you're going to be raped or not, since you have enough time to get up after falling.

I personally tried to get through this 4 times in a row and couldn't get past the first encounters because of the bad choice of controls. I have no idea why you would have a ready to shoot button in a game like this. To make it worse the fire button is nowhere near it so it's awkward to do. That is pretty bad but I could muscle through that if it wasn't for the unresponsiveness. I dared to go into the menu on 2 of my attempts and pretty much softlocked the game because after returning to game, I simply couldn't move at all. Cherry on top is the protag proceeded to slide stage left off screen. Every function worked besides movement. After the 4th time i simply gave up because having to sit through the intro again and again wore on me. Pixel art is nice and I do like the menus somewhat but besides that, it's pretty ruff all around.

Summary:

The more I think about it, the more I am sure that this game, only being a few levels long, was the right call. Sure, the setting is great and the pixel art is amazing. However, Lustful Victor is a game that the more you play it, the more frustrating it becomes. I managed to play all the way through it, but if this had gone on a few stages more, I am not sure I would have had it in me to beat the game, especially if it just kept getting harder and throwing more enemies at me. If you do not mind a challenge, this is a game worth trying.
