An Impending Doom!

If you have experienced any kind of fantasy story before, Divine Dawn is going to feel right at home. In this fantasy land, we play as a young man that has dreams of being a hero and he is willing to help those in need. That is a good thing as there is an impending doom on the horizon and there are these goddesses that are missing and finding them could be the key to saving the world. It may be a bit cliché in places, but I found it to be well written and engaging enough.

People Make The Adventure

What I think I liked best about the tale that Divine Dawn was weaving was the nice amount of characters. There are different characters that will and can join your party and I love anything that has monster girls in it so I got a real kick out of the variety of characters that were part of the story. I also liked how the way that characters would react to the main character would differ depending on certain factors too. I know on the surface it looks like a basic fantasy story, but it really is fun and well told, plus it is easy to follow and not over convoluted like some stories can be.

Prepare For Adventure!

I know that I said that I felt Divine Dawn was more like a lewd visual novel than a full RPG, but actually, the more I think about it, the more I think it lies somewhere in between. The game is mostly played through menu screens so there is no wandering around a giant world or anything like that. You have different bits of equipment you can equip, there is a battle system, a party system and it is a fun adventure. There are different meters that you have to keep an eye on too and of course, earning the affection of hot chicks along the way is also part of the gameplay.

A Real Visual Treat!

I am a huge fan of the character designs in Divine Dawn. I already spoke about how I loved the characters in how they are written, but their designs are what really caught my eye. Metaron is my favorite, she is this big buff looking chick and she is awesome. We also have a sexy succubus called Sarah and Sam who looks like a MMA fighter. This is just a small example of the characters you will encounter here. The lewd content is great too and I love the whole anime vibe that the game has going on.

Rosalyn gets two new scenes, a conversation (visit her after the Astrologia setup group scene) and a second conversation followed by a paizuri CG (choose Flirt in the conversation menu).

Aspasia gets a trust 10 scene, discussing golems, artificial intelligence, and what souls are. She loves this stuff.

Ina gets a 6 affection scene, which includes some discussion on whether Kuril or the MC would rock a dress better, along with more discussion of what relations are.

Sarah gets a 16 affection scene, with some MC childhood lore drops and her trying to be a supportive girlfriend. She’s doing her best.

Ashley gets a 14 affection scene, discussing succubus lore and Ashley’s stellar descriptive skills when she’s trying to make a point. Especially when she’s horny.

Siofra gets 2, 4, and 6 trust scenes, all of them very meaty and deeply philosophical. She has a lot more going on than ‘smug goofy forest lady’ and is happy to challenge the MC as well as be challenged by him. I meant that intellectually, but she would probably also be into ranked competitive sex.

Siofra also gets a 2 affection scene with some shameless flirting and fun lore. There WAS a 4 affection scene, but I lost it, and I’m still hopping mad two weeks later. I was really happy with it man. I’ll rewrite it in a future update.

Sarah and Ashley get a massive evening affection scene, showing their growing bonds with the MC as well as a variety of conversation topics. Sarah is very cute and gets one extra bit if you have high strength, otherwise it’s just a trio of goofs in a complicated relationship.
