Introduction

National park girls is a visual novel that uses the Asian style of decorating locations and rendering the appearance of all characters that appear during a short single-player campaign with the ability to choose replicas of a virtual protégé. The plot is divided into several parts, and the ending is made in an open form, so the developers left the opportunity to make a sequel. The main character is a girl named Eva, who has been working in the national park for a long time because of her love for nature. She is calm and cynical, her lines can infuriate others..The main three characters that the protagonist will interact with are the incarnations of 3 parks: Yosemite, Zion and Yellowstone. They are endowed with character traits that Eve constantly saw in these parts, so the girl believes that what is happening to her is reality. Gamers will have to take part in adventures that are filled with communication that allows them to get to know the heroines of the storyline better in order to begin to empathize with them and help them in their research. Also, Jesse participates in the narrative, which is Eve's boss..

Comments:

As an adult with critical thinking skills, I know you shouldn't go around feeding wild animals - but this game seems to be intent on teaching me that lesson anyway. Eve feeds a coyote pup and basically takes it in as a pet, which is irresponsible, yes, but then they spend a good chunk of gameplay just having him be a cute dog, just a sweet little guy, and he's even on the main menu! Anddddd then he goes and hurts someone and Eve has to put him down. The game even ends with a funeral for the coyote pup, which gets more focus in this story than the relationship between Eve and Yosemite. Honestly, they don't get anywhere close to romance until the last chapter, and we get a confession and a forehead kiss. That's about as much as you're gonna get from these two, so if you're here for the Gays(tm) there really isn't a ton this game has to offer, and there's very little build up to the confession either, it just feels thrown in out of nowhere. Also, most of the content of this game is complaining from Eve or Yosemite, and it gets pretty grating after a while. It also doesn't feel like there's really a conclusion to Yosemite's fear of forgetting and all of that, I guess it just gets resolved off-screen in the time skip before the last episode? But it's pretty disappointing not to get anything from that. Yellowstone is wonderful though she's the real MVP and I love her, and Zion is also very good.

What a terrible yet beautiful game. Once again Studio Elan absolutely delivered on what initially seemed like a bit of a goofy premise.National Park Girls is, as the name suggests, a game about girls conceptually linked with some of the US's National Parks, mostly in their interactions with jaded Ranger Eve Aadams. Beyond an obvious love for the parks themselves as places though, this game deals in several themes that I believe most people are forced to reckon with at some point, including environmentalism, change and personal growth. There are tragic scenes, just like there are cosy and wonderful ones, in this VN.The characters themselves bring most of those themes, but they also aren't just plot devices, far from it. You can see how, in a fairly limited scope, each character has their own quirks and a life of their own. You'll most likely end up caring for most of the cast, which isn't all that large.

This was a fun kinetic novel. While I am a little disappointed that I spent money in the past to buy the additional chapters as DLC only for them to now be included with the full game, that did detract in the slightest from my enjoyment of it. The characters are fun, interesting, and not perfect. Their imperfections are what make them enjoyable and allow for them to develop over the course of the story. One thing that I will note, however, is that the characters' voices are not all the same volume. So you might need to turn up your volume a bit and pay attention to the text on screen at times. But overall, another great story by a great group of creators.

Summary:

After five years of being a ranger in Yosemite National Park, Eve is just about ready to throw in the towel. However, things start to change when she meets three spritely girls who claim to be manifestations of the National Parks. All Eve ever wanted was to protect and preserve the land, but after five years of being a ranger in Yosemite National Park, she’s just about ready to throw in the towel. The people are careless, her co-workers are annoying, and thanks to an increasingly tight budget she can hardly do her job. Fed up and burned out, Eve lashes out, but after being transferred to a remote cabin post in return, she only finds herself more uncertain of the value of being a ranger.Soon after arriving, three strange girls corner her in the cabin. Not only do they claim to live there, but they also say they’re the manifestations of Zion, Yellowstone, and Yosemite National Parks! Are these girls really who they say they are? Why is Yosemite so obsessed with her research? And why does one of them have a volcano on their head? Follow Eve as she gets closer with these spritely cuties that put the “natural” in “supernatural,” and maybe even discovers a new kind of love for the parks.
