I've been playing the game on their standalone launcher since day 1 because I have no idea why they think having 2 publishers is a good thing for players, I would be fine if they allow crossplay or something but sadly no.Going back to the game itself, the game has no identify, its just bits and pieces from many other games together, like the main game is like X-COM without the rng part, and thats pretty much it. Events are fine but mini games are also games that are popular like Nikke/Monopoly/Vampire Survivors, and hell they even added Arknights IS mode recently. They're not giving us any new thing to play and they're all existing games that people know.Game is also on constant content drought, there is literally nothing to do in the end game(they added the roguelike mode but the mode is such a joke that its not even worth playing, its piss easy and have the same objective everytime), the game becomes your dailies simulator where you just login to do your dailies for like 15min and then logoff(they keep adding more dailies so people play for longer).Gacha system is s**t, nobody likes the Hoyo 50/50 system, and new banner release too soon to save up resources for them.Story is all over the places, it was nice when starting out but then it just filled with random timeline stuff with new dolls story(especially the events story).
Honestly pick this game just play while waiting the new Starwars xcom style game coming out but I surprised its pretty good. While they defo promoting fan service with these "dolls" and offer unashamed skins to highlight the fact these female robots behind it is a great strategy game. The strategy and interactions is very complex in battles what start out very simple move cover shoot flank like xcom the dolls are all different even if they share same class or weapon types its not a simple rock paper scissors each turn require and plan to maximise skills what really shocked me and its amazing feature is the rewind function you roll back a action or turns if plan when horribly wrong game also just hand auto combat you set turn order and let dolls take action you pause at anytime down side with is its not the best option for harder stages or complex rescue and retreat missions.massive positive is 50/50 loss characters you normal hate getting in these gacha style games are equally strong to limited banner ones if you build them correctly and exploit the skills they have they out damage the more flashy limited banner ones at single targets like bosses or elites.I dislike the storyboard style stories but the seem be invested improving story experience added more cutscenes. The events are often and give good rewards for F2P.The auto battle result function as massive time saver for farming mats more games should have it.The game is still fairly new so they are still adding new features down side is sometimes your left with nothing to do once while waiting for weekly resets but they seem to be addressing this every update.
While the game has not been as story focused as the previous one it still has a solid story that is slowly picking up steam and building up to greater events.End game needs to be worked on since the only real challenge aside from gunsmokes are the expansion drills at max settings and unless you are a mega whale you can forget about clearing those.Characters are all cool and it's nice that the game is slowly taking it's time to introduce each one of them so we can get to know their quirks and new personalities and I can feel how they tried to focus on each one of them rather than just dumping them in the gacha pool.Gacha wise, I've seen worse but it is quite the hard pill to swallow with how generous GFL1 was but at least you can get a good bunch of collapse pieces if you play constantly.Hope the game can keep growing and I'll stick around to support it...also SOP II when?
