In Sara is Missing, players will find Sara's lost phone. To unravel the mystery of her disappearance, they must gather stored private information, photos, and call logs to unlock encrypted files, ultimately uncovering Sara's whereabouts and the truth behind her disappearance. The game unfolds entirely within the mobile interface, yet the exceptional storytelling and exquisite graphics provide a unique gaming experience. The game offers multiple endings, each evolving as players analyze the phone's data and make relevant choices, enriching the gameplay experience.
The game starts with the Player finding a lost phone that seems to glitch when trying to unlock it. Soon after, a message from "IRIS" is recieved. She explains that her owner, Sara Young, has gone missing and asks the Player for help in order to find her. If the Player denies, IRIS keeps insisting until the player agrees.
IRIS starts a restoring process to back-up the phone, since it was damaged and lost almost all the information and content. After that, the Player can see a small part of Sara's phone and investigate with the help of IRIS, an AI that sounds more and more human and gets creepier. (In newer SIMULACRA games, "IRIS" is not only the phones' OS but also a kind of AI that seems to be evil, watching always over the user).
After reading some of the messages, the Player learns that Sara was involved with parapsychology and enjoyed investigating on the occult. This idea is confirmed by finding a satanic calendar on her phone, along with other theories Sara and her friend made. Later on, a conversation with a girl named Faith can be found. Faith is a wiccan that seems to pressure Sara into going to a Walpurgisnacht, a night where witches meet. Sara seems skeptic about it and doesn't want to go, but after Faith's strong suggestion she finally gives in. The festival was going to take place in a forest and no phones were allowed. When Sara arrived, she sent a voice message showing her distress of being alone at night in a forest, though Faith doesn't answer.
Sara is contacted then by a woman who goes by Irizu. (Theories say it may be "IRIS" written in a japanese accent), who tries to guide her and make her comfortable though in the end she is the main antagonist. While investigating the case, IRIS seems to be glitching because of a "cult" that is somehow connected to the messages that the Player is reading. In these messages, the famous creepypasta of the Red Room is mentioned, a concept that Sara investigated before going missing. The Red Room manifests itself in SIM as a cursed video or link that you can send to other people to somehow share the curse. Through the gameplay, the Player can decide whether to share the link with all of Sara's contacts or not, being judged by IRIS if you do share it.
Irizu speaks using a mystical vocabulary that further demonstrates she's not a common human being, and then proceeds to invite the Player to this "cult". The player may choose to join or deny the offer. Irizu sends coordinates to the Player and tells them to go there. (Coordinates exist in real life and they are located in some kind of forest too). After that, the player is threatened and has to choose between the lives of Sara and Faith. If Player chooses to sacrifice Sara, IRIS "feels" angry and snaps at the Player. If Player chooses to sacrifice Faith, IRIS still seems disappointed but is more understanding. The end of SIM is quite open, with a creepy monologue from IRIS talking about humanity and death and then the screen turns white, indicating that IRIS may have killed or harmed the Player, since they joined the cult by choosing who to sacrifice even if they refused to join in the beginning.

When I started I thought nothing was going to go wrong it was great until the end.. I picked Sarah then after the game it took me to this wepsite on safari it said “WARNING your address has been used without your permission “ now I’m writing this a few minutes after that I feel unsafe and im scared im not sure if it was fake or if it was just planned out I think it was planned out but it said “run away” or “stay safe” I clicked stay safe then it started talking I exited it out I think it was fake because when it was loading it said Sarah something about Sarah then it changed I think it was planned out but I’m scared.
Amazing game with amazing details, I may have a odd opinion but I wish it was a little more brutal and legit, maybe a little more graphic, but such a good game, totally worth downloading, if you don't have space, delete facebook, instagram, and snapchat, it's worth it! Too short for me though, the whole game was totally you trying to know what happened, then when it happens, the game ends and plays a song that totally fits the mood, and it's just such a good game, it says 17+ but it's more of... 13+? It has a little sexual content, nothing visual, but it's in a text.. in words, nothing too serious but probably no younger than 12 for the game, not too graphic either, such a good game, i can get over it.
I can't begin to describe how great this game is. I watched 2 walkthroughs and then played the game myself 3 times and yet I still want to play it again. Although I got curious and I watched the trailer. The trailer is overall the worse done part of the game. If I could give you suggestions for the trailer. I would say that you possibly should build slightly more suspense. And definitely add at least one good jumpscare. One more thing I think you should ad is I think having an actual Iris app would be pretty cool. It doesn't have to be exactly like like the app but I think it should at least be a little chatbot and virtual assistant both in one. Other than that the game was fantastic and I'm going to give your app what it deserves. 5 Stars and many more playthroughs.
