I was a big fan of the first mega mall story, I played it three years ago and it was my gateway to kairosoft games. Changes from the first game include a new way of unlocking stores (buy them with hearts) as well as a new engine, some new shops and multi-level shops that add a bigger element of thought to planning out your mall. I am very glad that this is a paid release rather than F2P, since after playing this there’s no way I could go back to the first game.

I enjoy many Kairosoft games and loved the first Mega Mall, but I just can’t get into this one mainly due to the graphics. It’s not the classic Kairosoft graphics and interface. Instead of a cute, pixelated, 2D look, this one is very sleek and overbearing. It loses charm for me and I find it to be very obnoxious to simply play the game and navigate the menus.
