However, even as a series newcomer, I found the story of Legend of Queen Opala quite captivating, revolving around the alluring Queen Opala and her entanglements with her evil sister and mother. I guess this game is a prequel to the first game, but I never felt confused or lost in the plot.

I think this game is pretty cool; it has a mysterious fantasy atmosphere that I really like. However, some characters are indeed a bit verbose and lengthy, but to be fair, I know nothing about the series except for this game.
