At one point you must have a character translate a golden manuscript of TheFirebird into English from Russian. The conversations between the socialist student andthe Count's granddaughter, or between the English girl and her Central Europeancompanion, are just exactly right. lf you love travel or history, if you love art or charactertry this qame. lf these things do not excite you, enioy the thousands of other games thatare made for people with no appetite for the extraordinary. lf only there were moregames with this much imagination.

What's fascinating about thisgame is it's almost real time. Time is always moving and different people come by atdifferent times. You can be in one place and completely miss a conversation or event inanother car, or you can just walk around eavesdropping and figuring out what you'regonna do next. And if you take too long to act, you might get caught... Little hint for thefirst scene.The animation is a little jerky but after while its sort of charming, especiallythe fluid rotoscoping. The only negative so far is the touch screen stuff is a little bit toospecific. Fight movements and sometimes navigation either doesn't register or picks thewrong movement direction. $till though... This is a crazy detailed adventure game. l'mkinda hooked.
