I purchased this immediately on Steam after finishing Chapter 1. The main protagonist is a bit strange but I quite like him, and I mainly play because of the girls anyway haha.It sometimes seems a bit odd that all the girls seem to like this cold vibe coming from a dude who's not that charismatic, and somehow how they're all virgins despite some of them being centuries old, but it's a nice change from all other games, feel really nice to play.Sorry, coming back to add something to the review. I forgot about the excellent world-building as well, it's surely like reading a good book, 100% recommend if you like medieval fantasy kinda games.

At first, the game’s story felt a bit lacklustre, and I wasn’t completely sold on the protagonist. The game does an excellent job of weaving a narrative that keeps you engaged, making it more than just another cliché hero’s journey.This is a story-first experience, focusing heavily on intricate plot developments rather than the typical “good guy wins, gets the girls, and defeats all the bad guys” formula.One of the standout aspects is the music. While it’s clear that the developer put a lot of effort (and probably a good amount of budget) into the soundtrack, it truly pays off. The music enhances key moments, making them feel more impactful and emotionally charged.That said, this game isn’t for everyone. If you’re not planning to invest in the story—reading through the dialogues, absorbing the lore, and getting lost in its world—you might not find it enjoyable. But for those who love a well-crafted high-fantasy experience, this is absolutely a must-play.

Having abandoned Strings of Fate (which I am still salty about), made me hesitate trying another game from this Dev, but in the end I enjoyed their writing enough to give it a go and I was not disappointed.It's similar in the way the story is structured and written to SoF, but obviously a completely new story with rather impressive art.Nevertheless, the writing is where it's at. If you skip for the H scenes you will be disappointed. This is somewhat high fantasy with a decent amount of intrigue and the world building is once again quite intricate.The Dev is at their best though in their writing of the characters. I like them, I like that they have agency and feel... alive, which is high praise in the sea of mediocrity that is H games.Give it a go, you'll probably like it.If you abandon this one as well, we're done though, Mystic.
