Hikari Saitou was just an ordinary student... until a fateful encounter with Magical Girl Aquamarine and a fairy named Lala transformed her into Magical Girl Opal! Now her days of studying at university are spent fighting against the evil organization, Cynthia, who are hell-bent on taking over the Earth. Will Opal be able to bring peace back to her town, or will she and the people of the world succumb to Cynthia's sinister ambitions?

In this RPG, you play as Hikari as she protects Mikamai Town from the evil forces of Cynthia. Cynthia has sent countless monsters into town with the objective of kidnapping people for sinister purposes. You will have to work quick to save the town from total domination!

While Opal is still an inexperienced Magical Girl, she's strong enough to go up against even the most ferocious of monsters. However, she will still need experience from battles to grow stronger in order to stand a chance against the executives of Cynthia!

This is a dense and highly concentrated H-JRPG that blends the classic "magical girl" transformation heroine setting with erotic depictions of downfall, centered around defeat in battle and social ruin, where a magical girl balances daily school life and ongoing combat—only to be gradually consumed by pleasure and corruption.The protagonist, Hikaru Saito, suddenly awakens one day as “Magical Girl Opal” and is fated to fight off invaders emerging from beneath the city. However, behind the battles, the city's invasion level steadily rises day by day, and there lies the possibility that the heroine herself may fall into depravity. Combat is turn-based, but with a unique system where "barrier breaks → costume damage → H attacks → defeat → H scene trigger" creates constant tension.There are over 150 H scenes in total. Focused on defeat-H, it also covers a wide range of fetishes such as tentacles, monster sex, gangbangs, hypnosis, public exposure, AV filming, voluntary corruption, and the appearance of lewd marks. These events are not mere extras—they are triggered by combat outcomes or choices made during city life, affecting the game’s routes and endings. There are paths where you can uphold justice, but also routes where you fall completely into evil or end up in a human breeding farm. The player’s choices shape the entire direction of the game.

Hoo boy. This one is a mixed bag.First off, Magical Girl Opal is an improvement over MOEKOUBOU's last game, Broke Alchemist Emma. The characters are defined and the story establishes stakes for the player. However, I mostly say this because characters and plot were almost nonexistent in Emma. The narrative in Opal is simple and won't make an impact on you.The gameplay is also improved, but not by much. You no longer level up via spending gold in town, so levels feel more natural and earned. However, the gameplay is still very dull, even by H-RPG standards. Mana runs out extremely quickly and normal attacks do chip damage to all but the weakest enemies. There isn't a large variety of attacks either. Enemies don't pose much of a threat to the player. Granted, if you don't mind backtracking to checkpoints for a free heal (which takes seconds, mind you), then it's a minor issue as you can power level extremely quickly. The gameplay still ends up feeling shallow though.The H-content of this game is varied, yet simplistic in approach. Opal can find herself with a large variety of partners that fit a wide array of interests, but each encounter is pretty shallow. Credit where it's due, the voice acting (when it's there) does a lot of heavy lifting and the art is very pleasing. However, expect to see Opal in the same positions as few scenes have fully unique artwork dedicated to them.Also, I know it's a h-game, but the game barely bothers to give an excuse why Opal keeps getting into h-shenanigans. One scene, she'll be praised for being the most powerful magical girl that ever magical girled before. Three minutes later, she'll give a pouty face as she's bamboozled with the most obvious contract fraud you'll ever see and give half-hearted back talk as she's... you know where this is going. What I'm trying to say is that the devs really need to use the depravity system better as it feels useless. How much depravity do you think Opal needs to sell "services" in the park in broad daylight? If you guessed zero, you'd be right.All that said, I still recommend the game as the art and voice acting does make for a good experience if you buy the game on sale. I just wish MOEKOUBOU put more effort in their writing as there was some potential here.
