Gameplay:

Overwhored tells a story that is set in a fantasy land. Our main character is a warrior that is called the Overmind and he wants to rule and bang chicks. He is an immortal warrior, but he was defeated and after a long slumber his loyal subjects have awoken him by rubbing their boobs in his face! I thought that this was a great way to start the game and it made me think that I was in for some kind of fantasy comedy.

Overwhored is made with RPG Maker and the gameplay is a pretty solid example of how to do a lewd RPG Maker game right. You have different areas to explore, items to find, people to chat with, and all of the stuff you would expect in a lewd RPG. There is a real emphasis on combat here and the combat is probably my favorite part of the game. You get into fights all of the time and the turn based combat offers just enough challenge to keep you on your toes, but without it being frustrating. It may seem like a by the numbers RPG to many people, but I enjoyed my time with this and had the urge to keep on playing for just a little bit longer each time I fired it up.

Moral Ambiguity: Forge alliances with fallen heroines like Valkyrie Vixen, a warrior torn between duty and desire. Spare them for temporary truces, or break their will to recruit them into your harem. Every choice reshapes your empire’s morality and stability.  

Stunning Visuals: Each heroine is rendered in hyper-detailed art by industry stars—Sleepymaid’s surreal eroticism meets PChronos’ gritty realism. Unlock secret CG galleries revealing their tragic backstories or hidden fetishes.  

Lore-Driven Quests: Investigate why the Overmind was slain. Was it a hero’s betrayal? A demon’s curse? Scattered relics and fragmented memories piece together a saga of hubris, forbidden magic, and a forbidden romance with a rival deity.

I replayed this game just after having forgotten about it for years, and on GOD I now remember why my standards for nsfw game writing is as high as it is now xD.The writing on this is peak. P E A K!To this day I have not found a Villain-To-Unlikely-Hero quite like this one.The Art is good. Nothing to write home about, but it's still way better than the AI slop that people are putting into their games nowadays.The combat is admittedly repetitive, but then again so it is on most RPGM games, so I'm not about to nitpick over it.Some maps could definitely be smaller, but that's just another nitpick of mine.Overall, STILL a classic, and a must-play if you wanna know what it looks like when a developer starts ABSOLUTELY COOKING with their their game's plot.

It's a fun game definitely worth your time, the arts are a bit outdated but it's a game that come out in 2014, and there are some bugs here and there but the story is interesting enough for me in my 14+ hours of playtime, nothing groundbreaking but just good enough for me.Overall it is a great game to play, feels like a work of passion from a group of people, 5/5 would recommend it.

Overwhored is one of the all-time classics of the Western indie lewd game scene, despite it really starting to show its age. There are newer games that have built on and improved what Overwhored has accomplished but it's still worth playing and stands on its own as a fun RPG.The story of an ancient all-powerful being being brought back from near death and rebuilding a harem is a high fantasy staple, but this executes that concept perfectly. You get tons of variety between all the different ladies you get to enslave, and each one is brought under your influence by different means, the writing just works.The art is also highly varied. All the different CGs were drawn by a rotating cast of artists, if mind control is your thing you may recognize a good chunk of the artists involved and they all brought their A game.The game has a healthy mix between gameplay and story elements, and manages a good difficulty curve all through out. The gameplay might get a little tedious after a while though, especially if you don't like navigating through dungeons swarmed with enemies.Overall, great story and great characters. Some elements don't hold up as well as they did in the early 2010s, but still highly worth recommending.
