The protagonist sinks deeper and deeper into depression due to a monotonous daily routine and a lack of any joy. This makes him easily notice deviations from the norm in his surroundings, invisible to others but obvious to him. Curiosity and a desire for even a modicum of exciting adventure lead him to unexpected and profoundly profound discoveries that change his entire life.
