Another week, another progress update!

This one will be on the shorter side again because I was kinda enjoying the holidays a little with friends and I hope you guys did the same with your friends and family! I was still working on My New Family 2 of course, and I know I still owe you a post explaining what my plans are regarding My New Memories ( the main game ). The TL;DR will be that I'm going to remake the models - But I will not try to recreate them 1:1. I will explain everything in detail this week, where I will tell you what my exact plans will be. Todays render is Sabrina in the living room though, shortly after Bethany dropped the nuke and the MC finished his phone call with you-know-who.

I have very big plans for 2026 and I'm sure most of them will work out. The first release of My New Family 2, Chapter 4 release of My New Memories and of course Chapter 3 of My New Memories: The Beginning are all things I'm planning to do. I think I'm reaching a point where I will be happy with working on all my games again, after I had to mentally struggle a lot in 2025, because it has been over 2 years already since all of this stuff happened to me and there is basically no progress. Sadly, this is often the case in Germany, so I'll do my best and power through it with all the support you guys are giving me. I will make another post on December 31st probably, where I will take a little about the year in general.

And I feel like thats it for now, you amazing people. I know this progress update is a little shorter again and I hope you guys understand it with the holidays and stuff. Christmas is always a special time for me ( since my Birthday was on the 24th ), and even if Christmas 2023 was the worst in my life so far ( because of all the things that happened ) it has been slowly but surely getting better again. And the biggest reason is you amazing people out there, playing my games and supporting me. I'll update you guys if anything new comes up, until then, stay awesome!

Very lighthearted and charming with a lot of content. My only complaint is that the MC is a bit...dull. A personality-less MC is a pretty common trend in this genre but it's particularly noticeable in this story because of how much dialogue and depth the other characters have.In the first few chapters it's almost comical how little he contributes to conversations. The other characters will have these long, vulnerable ramblings to the MC and he will only repond with "Thank you for sharing...I should go to bed now". Luckily it gets (slightly) better as the story goes on but he still has a very bland personality and zero charm.

My New Family – A Rare Wholesome Gem in a Sea of Drama.I don’t often write reviews, but after replaying My New Family for the third time, I figured it was finally time to give it the love it deserves.This game gets a 5/5 from me — not because it’s perfect, but because it offers something I rarely see in adult VNs: a genuinely wholesome, feel-good experience. Most games lean heavily into drama, betrayal, or edgy twists, and honestly, that’s just not what I’m looking for most of the time. My New Family skips the trauma-bait and gives you a warm, sweet, sometimes goofy story that just feels good to play.The plot starts a bit heavy — the MC reconnects with his family after a rough childhood with an alcoholic father and a cheating ex — but that tone doesn’t last. Very quickly, it transforms into a slice-of-life harem sim with strong focus on emotional connections and positivity. And I love that shift. It’s comfy, and it grows on you the more you play.Yeah, the graphics early on are flat (Honey Select 1, not the fancy version), and the lighting was a bit rough. But the dev clearly improved a lot over time — by the latest update, the renders look great for what the engine allows. Same with the writing: a little rough in the beginning, but it settles into a charming, unique voice, with some Engrish that made it more relatable than annoying for me.

From the first release to the last I hung on because world and story telling were great and the girls are so lovable. I adore this game with every ounce of my being. I have played games that are 60 USD that are not even half of what this game is. I hope anyone in the future that gets to enjoy the whole thing in continuously appreciate the effort and love that went into this project. Thanks Killer7 for a fantastic addition to my life experiences.
