Getting To The Bottom Of It All!

Story wise, Avaria: Chains of Lust is not trying to do anything too crazy, but what is here was a mystery that I ended up wanting to get to the bottom of it. Basically, the game takes place in a mining town called, Arden. The people here are a happy, but simple folk, but villagers and miners have been going missing and our heroine of the game is a woman called, Camille and she is going to venture into the mines and find out what is going on. The writing is not bad and it made me care enough to figure out what was going on.

Smacked In The Face At The Start!

Avaria: Chains of Lust is a lewd RPG that is made with RPG Maker so that right away gives you an idea of what to expect here with this game. You will need to explore the town and the dungeons (for the most part it is a dungeon crawler style of RPG) and right from the start, this game is brutally difficult. The first few enemies that you take on dish out massive damage so you will have to grind very early on. I am sure to some this will be a frustrating experience, but I actually enjoyed the grind, it gave it a kind of old school 16-bit vibe to things that I got a kick out of.

Prepare For Lewdal Combat!

Did you see what I did there? Anyway, as this is a lewd RPG, Avaria: Chains of Lust does need to have its combat system discussed and like I just said, it is hard! While the difficulty comes from the enemies dishing out a large amount of damage with each attack. Combat basically boils down to two things, attack and defend with attack attacking and defend defending and being how you get health back. Sometimes, you may have to defend on like five turns in a row! You do have different spells and skills to use, but it all pretty much boils down to attacking or defending on each turn so it is easy to figure out.

I liked Camille as a main character

The story had a bit of a mystery thing going on that I liked

The combat is basic, but I still enjoyed it

Overall, this has a bit of an old school soul to it and I thought that was cool

The grinding may be a huge turn off for some people

At the end of the day, this is an RPG Maker game for better or worse!
