Scenarios consist of a number of tasks that have to be fulfilled in order to complete the scenario.

When a new town level is reached, additional Research options will be unlocked. You can conduct research by expending either Prestige or resources.

Research is expensive, but the bonuses are persistent, i.e. permanently available for all your towns!

When you reach certain town levels, building upgrades will be unlocked. You can upgrade buildings from their building menu.

Upgrading a building is quite expensive, so make sure you can afford it especially early on in the game.

Earn more XP and reach new town levels faster by using the Double XP buff!

Take a look at the influence screen in the pause menu. There you can see which influences are at work in your town.

Touch a building to enter it's context menu. You can find useful information and special feature of every building here.

When you want to know more about a building and its production, use the info or i-button in the context menu of the building.

When one of your buildings appears locked or unavailable, it may lacks a special requirement. You can jump directly to the requirement via the quicklink in the context menu of the building.

Building condition is extremely important. Run-down townhouses make your Townies unhappy and production building that are in bad condition are less productive. Buildings in bad repair also have an increased risk of a fire breaking out.

Take care of your buildings! If you don't repair them regularly, they could start to smolder and might even burn down.

I downloaded this when I was laid up in the hospital and it definitely kept me entertained.It's a lot of fun! My one wish would be that there was a blank slate option without anyprevious buildings other than the main castle. I really enjoy designing the layout of thetowns but don't even bother with the ones that have a lot of buildings already. I also wishtheir were more big or huge layouts that weren't stuck in permanent winter. Thepermanent winters I don't bother with. Also, the timed challenges (ex: 5 minutes toproduce x amount of x) is pointless and impossible unless you're already a wellestablished town. Otherwise it's a fun game but plan to pay $ to get the most out of it.

I love the color pallet, the music and sound effects. They way townies talk is perfect. Theart style is joyful without being silly. And all this is icing on the cake of a fabulous gamemechanic. I can't wait for more new scenarios!Update: Yea! Lots of new goodies! Nowthere are bandits & militia, a new building interface, Trade Guild building, new scenarios,and my townies are even smarter than they used to be. Townsmen & Royal Envoy 1,2,&3are the best games on my tablet. They both have stayed great for years. Seems mostgames get an update or two, and then they are left behind in a year. HandyGames &Playrix are reliable devs. Tytyty for so many hours of achievable challenges!

The game does not require you to spend money, but you need to be patient. The newresearch element was not explained within the game well. Xp earned crosses maps, sojust play the game, and you will unlock new abilities. The new research element is quiteinteresting, and it offers incentive to complete quests or play after you have installed allthe buildings. There are a few problems, however. 1. We need more easy scenarios toearn prestige. Perhaps easy scenarios should not have seasons. Some maps should justlet you build stuff and earn prestige. Balancing the town is enough sometimes. 2. Weneed multiple levels of buildings. For example, I like being able to upgrade warehouses,but the new qualifications make them a challenge to build. People are assuming theyhave to spend money because their strategies no longer work. Again, more easyscenarios and easy, normal, and difficult levels on the maps would fix this issue. 3.Create a way to set maps to easy, normal, and difficult within each terrain. Let me asplayer determine how many challenges I want to take on. 4. The game needs to teachmore specifics. How many people per fisherman? Per hunter? Help us determine how tofocus our strategies. A section for helpful info or an FAQ would help. I enjoy this game,but as it continues to update, I am becoming concerned that is becoming too difficult. Ienjoy the seasons and the new research, but some days, I have a headache and want tokeep it simple on a map that is not the tutorial. Please keep this game appropriate for alllevels of interest.
