In Barren Bargain, players are placed in a medieval world invaded by a demonic army, where most crops and farmers have perished. As one of the last remaining farmers, players must balance planting, harvesting, and distributing crops, as well as interacting with other characters. While continuously expanding their farm and increasing output, players must build deep bonds with other farmers and characters, sell crops to earn more gold to continuously upgrade their farm, and engage in intimate interactions with their favorite women. As the story progresses, players will face more crises and malicious adversaries. Make your choices to protect your farm and those you care about. This update may look modest at first glance , but there's a lot underneath — story continues, mechanics evolve, and many small improvements make the experience smoother.

Quest system and navigation

Gamification of sex scenes — they will feature a bit of gameplay + a redesigned layout for sex scenes

Various QoL improvements:

Ability to skip time until Sunday

Character needs are now displayed in the UI

"Max" button for energy restoration, showing the cost for 1 unit of energy

When allocating resources, the resulting relationship level is now shown instead of just emojis

Clearer indication that resources will be lost if not allocated by Sunday

You can now hold F to trade at the well or with Piglet

Balance:

More difficult objectives (currently a draft version; polishing and testing will take a lot of time)

Wife now restores energy once per day

Bug Fixes:

Fixed the black screen bug when opening the shop

Removed the ability to move during sex scenes

Removed the ability to open the menu during sex scenes

Fixed the anchoring for some UI elements (they should no longer go off-screen)

Fixed a bug with buying energy in the shop — the purchase button is now inactive if you don't have enough gold

Nice looking and consistent graphics. It is always jarring for me when pixel art games are using different color palette for each sprite and have different pixel scaling for each element (excluding some of the panels in the videos but I assume it is still work in progress).Here everything looks very consistent. Sprites, map and ui seems to have same pixel size which very adds up to the quality.

just finished going trough all the bad and good scenes, lets go straight to feedback,  honestly, i really liked it ,the gameplay is interesting and fun initially, but sadly as it currently is, as you progress throught every scene, it becomes more and more mind numbing, id add some kind of speed multiplier toggle or a movement speed increase on the shop to make it less of a bore to walk through the crops, also, please add different scenes for bad and good, they are exactly the same but maybe with or without a smile, which makes the grind to see them all not really worth it, no, id go even further and say theres no real reason  to go bad, since 1 you cant access the scenes every time you want 2 it makes you feel like a piece of shit 3 it takes years to access the last scene, even when skipping with the "to sunday" button, id also would love more npcs/content, and/or the option to reminisce in your wifes tomb (which would trigger the initial sex scene with the wife, so you can rewatch it), the relationship tutorial is old (maybe?), AND YOU CANT PET THE PIG, HERESY!!
