Sunfish City is a casual trait-trading game where players will find themselves in a city, encountering various characters and collecting their traits. These traits can be combined or traded to make your character stronger, allowing you to better explore different areas and interact with various characters. As the game progresses, players will unlock more rare traits and evolution mechanisms, continuously enhancing their character's combat power. The game is currently in early development, and more fun traits and story chapters will be released soon, so stay tuned!

The creator is putting in a lot of work on the game, but has made some poor choices lately. The latest one is disabling the back button forcing people to save spam instead, because of unwanted results when trading, which is a major annoyance. And if you don't, then the game come to a grinding halt as soon as you fail.I'm not a fan of AI images but the ones they used to have was ok. However, they changed images to anime based ones that was still created in AI and in my opinion looks dark and depressing.The concept of the game was new and interesting and I would have loved to continue playing the game, but with the above changes that is no longer possible.

Been playing for a while and I am enjoying the gameplay that is present. The dev has been updating at least once a week or close to that. There is still no over arching goal or story yet, but I can see the beginnings of one and the dev has said that it or something like a quest system will come a bit later.The trading works well and is clear about what is happening even if there is element of randomness depending on the value of each side of the trade, along with some descriptions and images of the result. The traits you can trade for bump stat totals and change/enable some responses with some NPCs. NPCs themselves are a bit shallow still but either the last update or the one before increased the number of options when talking to them. I expect that at some point we will get to do more with them.Some systems, mainly numbers for traits and interacting with NPCs, are still in flux as this is still in alpha and being actively worked on. This is good to check out and to keep an eye one. If you don't like the state of it now, give it a a month or two and due to the speed of updates this will have likely improved in several ways.

The game is pretty good and overall has a pretty good gameplay loop! While I understand the use of AI for the images due to the variety, it's still kind of a shame to see. Their previous game didn't use AI and tbh I'd prefer those graphics over the AI used in this one. Regardless, gameplay is very fun albeit very grindy, and there's a lot to be done with this kind of gameplay loop.
