Altos Odyssey is a desert adventure game where players embark on an adventure with companions through long-lost fantastical lands such as dunes, canyons, and temples: Players must skillfully utilize various environmental objects, such as vines and hot air balloons, to successfully traverse dangerous areas and uncover the mysteries of the desert. Each character in the game possesses unique skills, which will be unlocked as players progress through levels. Strategic use of different characters' skills is crucial for easy progression. Some games also offer different game modes such as meditation and photo modes, allowing players to unleash their creativity and share the game's beauty with their friends through screenshots.
Alto: The default character: Average at everything!
Maya: Unlocks at Level 11: She’s a super fast backflipper: I suggest switching to her as soon as you unlock her and stick with her at least until you get Izel: Then, play around with the two and see which one you like better.
Paz: Unlocks at Level 21: He’s slow and flips super slowly: I don’t like him at all, but maybe someone out there does: I use him only for character-specific goals and then switch back to another character.
Izel: Unlocks at Level 31: He’s super fast, with a slightly slower backflip than Maya: He might take some getting used to after playing mostly with her, but he’s good for getting far quickly and escaping lemurs.
Felipe: Unlocks at Level 41: The only llama in the game! Double-tap to double-jump! He’s one of my favorite characters, as he’s saved me from some very close crashes in chasms: If you have trouble gaining speed or height, he can help with those pesky chasms! He’s also good for staying a bit above the Lemur when it’s hot on your tail.
Sumara: Unlocks at Level 51: She backflips quickly like Maya but also double-jumps like Felipe! Also, Lemurs don’t bother her.

Breathtaking Visuals: Altos Odyssey boasts stunning, handcrafted visuals that bring the desert landscapes to life with vibrant colors, detailed textures, and dynamic lighting effects: From towering dunes to cascading waterfalls and ancient ruins, each biome is meticulously designed to create a visually captivating and immersive experience for players.
Immersive Soundtrack: The game features a soothing and atmospheric soundtrack that complements the desert setting, creating a sense of tranquility and relaxation as players journey through the sands: The ambient sounds of the desert, coupled with the melodic tunes, enhance the immersive experience and transport players to a world of endless exploration and discovery.
Dynamic Weather Effects: Altos Odyssey introduces dynamic weather effects that add an element of realism and unpredictability to the gameplay: Players will encounter thunderstorms, sandstorms, rain showers, and other weather phenomena that affect visibility, terrain conditions, and the overall atmosphere of the game, creating a sense of immersion and challenge.
Diverse Biomes: Players can explore a variety of biomes in Altos Odyssey, each with its own unique features, challenges, and hidden secrets waiting to be discovered: From the windswept dunes of the desert to lush canyons, hot air balloons, and ancient temples, players can embark on a journey through diverse environments that offer a mix of relaxation and excitement.
Wind Gameplay Mechanic: A new gameplay mechanic in Altos Odyssey allows players to ride the wind streams that carry Alto through the skies, enabling smooth gliding, aerial stunts, and exploration of hard-to-reach areas: By mastering the wind currents, players can extend their sandboarding journey, perform impressive tricks, and soar to new heights in the desert landscape.

Standalone experience: Alto's Odyssey serves as a sequel to the critically acclaimed Alto's adventure; however, it's not necessary to experience one to appreciate the other fully.
Simple to understand, hard to master: A sophisticated one-touch trick system lies at the core of the Alto series, enabling players to perform combos and achieve 180 goals—all with user-friendly controls.
Explore Biomes: Discover diverse and rich landscapes from dunes and canyons to temples, each offering distinct visuals and gameplay experiences.
Reach New Heights: Uncover hidden treasures among the clouds using hot-air balloons, dynamic grind rails, and wall riding techniques.
Master Nature's Elements: The desert showcases stunning dynamic lighting and Weather effects, encompassing sandstorms, Shooting stars, swirling wind vortexes, and flowing water.
Meet Alto and Friends: Unlock six unique characters, each equipped with different skills and capabilities.
Zen Mode: Featuring a soothing soundtrack, this mode strips down Odyssey to its most essential elements: no scores, coins, or power-ups—just you immersed in the endless desert environment.

Backflip all the way: Backflipping in Alto’s Odyssey is the easiest and most important trick: It gives you only 10 points but it will help you increase speed, chain your combos, and evade lemurs: This is the most important trick you need to master.
Maya is still the best early game character: Maya lacks speed but she makes up for it through enhanced agility. She can land backflips really quickly and that means more room for combos. You unlock her at level 11 and you can stick with her till level 51, when you’ll unlock the best character in the game.
Buy items from the workshop: Just like Alto’s Adventure, Alto’s Odyssey has a workshop where you can buy items using in-game coins. These coins can be collected while you play the game and there are no in-app purchases with real currency. Start by maxing out the Coin Magnet so you can collect more coins using that item: Then you want to purchase the Wingsuit to start flying!
Wingsuit is amazing as ever: Why sandboard when you can fly, or at least float? The Wingsuit in Alto’s Odyssey lets you do just that, much like the last game: Land lots of tricks to maximise the length of your scarf.Once it starts glowing, your Wingsuit will be activated and you’ll see its icon on the left side of the screen. Tap that to activate the Wingsuit but do so when you’re in the middle of a trick combo and want to extend it: You can also fly close to the ground to increase your trick score fast.
Master the Wall Ride: Wall Ride is a new trick added in Alto’s Odyssey. Mastering this can be the difference between a fantastic long run and a quick trip down the nearest chasm: It takes time to get this right but if you do, it can save your skin in the game more than once: First, be sure to build up some speed by landing tricks — this is a rule of thumb that will serve you well in almost all situations in Alto’s Odyssey. Once you reach the base of the wall, tap and hold the screen to start wall riding. Release just before you reach the end to end the Wall Ride with a Wall Jump trick: It sounds simple but takes time to get used to.

The audio is an essential component for this gem of a game: However, if youhave silent mode turned on (so your phone will only vibrate whennotifications come through), the audio won't work in this app: Your music, podcasts, and other game apps may work...but this one won't: Turn offsilent mode and enjoy the game.
Hello, I would like to share my story with the game that I believe is a little bit more uniquethan most other players: As some of you may know, Alto's Odyssey is the sequel to Alto'sAdventure, which was first published in 2015: I played AA (Alto's Adventure), and fell inlove with it, however I never purchased it or AO (Alto's Odyssey) until recently: This wasbecause I first played the two on a hacked client which allowed me to play for free: Sinceit was a hacked client, it meant that my data on the game would be wiped whenever theclient had to shift to a new site or whatever they did when they risked being exposed: Iplayed AA and AO over and over and over again but never became bored of either, whichmade me start to think; "hey, maybe this game is worth buying": I had never gotten pastlevel 30 on either game because of how often the client had to switch and that frustratedme, to the point where I stopped playing both of them, up until 2022: I decided to buythem on a whim because I had forgotten then remembered AO and had felt quitenostalgic about it: Buying this game and playing for the first time in years was anamazing feeling and I can confidently say I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment, thisgame is worth the $5 you spend on it, without a doubt: P.S: canyons best biome.
What a game! Been playing Alto's Odyssey for over a year now and have loved everysecond of it: Very rarely do game devs create that is so visually intricate yet easy to learnand worth coming back to over and over again, yet Snowman has checked all the boxes. It's a nice game to play on long car rides or flights, as I've found it's a great escape fromthe real world as you are hooked by the serene soundtrack and stunning scenery: As I'veplayed Odyssey I've come to appreciate the constantly changing weather patterns anddaylight cycles that can even affect how well I perform.Though it's a 5-star game in mybooks, one suggestion I have is to remove the character Sumatra entirely or replace herwith another character that has his/her own unique attribute: Once you've unlockedSumatra the game becomes very easy, and personally I enjoy the challenges presentedwith each character (Paz's extremely slow backflips but great momentum, Maya's lowmomentum but swift backflips, etc): In addition to this, the challenges could be alteredso some are more specific to certain characters, and thus create incentives to use eachof them.
You will play on long sandy beaches and control every action of the main character. The route is extremely dangerous and creates some problems: Run fast and avoid any potential hazards. That’s what players in the game will have to do. The player in this position is completely separate from the other players.Take on and overcome obstacles on your own, rise above all obstacles, overcome each difficult terrain, and climb steep slopes… Playing Alto’s Odyssey won’t make you feel lonely because there are many fun things to do. Face all dangerous opponents and win.
