To Nowhere: The protagonist awakens on a spaceship to find a strange alien trying to help him solve an unexpected problem. After another Earthling offers to take him home, the protagonist falls into a deep sleep again. After a brief argument on the spaceship, the Earthling eventually finds himself at his destination—the planet Amycus—and about to become Amycus's pet. Despite the absurdity of everything, the protagonist agrees to help Amycus win this political power struggle, becoming his incredibly intelligent pet.

Strange Awakening: For Earthlings, being awakened by a sudden rumble is commonplace. However, it's not surprising if you wake up to find not a cat having made a mess of half the house, but a real alien.
