Reconnected VN

Reconnected VN is a story-driven casual game where players take on the role of a diplomat, acting as a bridge between different races to begin their diplomatic journey in the Solarian system. Players will encounter a diverse cast of characters, sharing culture and peace with others, but will also face various dangers. The mystery of a previous diplomat's assassination by a mysterious killer perplexes Minecraft, requiring players to investigate. Along the way, players will develop deeper bonds with their companions and unlock exciting scenes and animations. The game also demands strategic thinking; numerous clues and evidence are hidden within the game text. Can players discern these clues, make correct deductions, and find the killer? It all depends on the player's choices.

Story of Reconnected VN:

After war ravages the Solarian system, the defeated species of Earth are exiled to the Andromeda galaxy. Millennia later, the warring factions have evolved and forgiven, agreeing to reconnect with one another and share their cultures. Peace seems to be a fleeting promise when diplomats and civilians alike are mysteriously murdered at the hands of an unknown assailant. Terror and fear grips the city as the killer is on the prowl, and you find yourself locked in the middle of the investigation.

You play as the diplomat sent from the Solarian system, and have to fight to overcome the struggles and challenges of this strange new world with the help of your friends.

Solve the case, protect the people you care about, explore the world, and fall in love through "Reconnected"! A one of a kind horror/mystery/romance visual novel. Always remember, Things on Zenalyr are Rarely What they Seem to Be.

Reconnected uses adaptive story telling elements to hide clues and evidence to the mystery WITHIN the text and game itself. Headphones or access to audio is HIGHLY recommended so you can pick up on all the clues!

Changelog:

Reconnected 3.1 Implements a bug fix which now allows your data-pad update information to be retained through multiple sessions, which was not always the case with 3.0. No other changes were implemented, but this DOES make the data-pad function exactly how it was supposed to. Feel free to re-download 3.1 for this additional content, and I apologize for the oversight in not catching this in the first place. <3 <3 <3 You all are amazing! Unfortunately, saves will be reverted in the new version once again (most likely.) This is unavoidable as we are a small team, and are still just learning Renpy, and how version states work within the system. YOUR PREVIOUS SAVES WILL NOT WORK! HERE IS HOW YOU GET TO THE NEW CONTENT!!! PAY ATTENTION!

Previous saves not working is due to the implementation of our brand new Data-Pad feature! This feature simply does not exist in previous builds, and therefore they no longer function.

I highly recommend you replay the game, as over 30K words have been added or adjusted in build 2, including an entire new in game day.

If you do not want to replay, and want to proceed directly to only the new content, the skip button will be your friend. Here is how to get directly to the new content. You can skip until the game requires you to enter your name. Enter in the name of your choosing, and then you will receive a brief rundown of how the new data-pad feature works!

NEW SCENES BACKDATED IN BUILD 3!

More exposition added in to when you are on the flight to Zenalyr (This occurs before you enter your name, if you want to read it.)

When you first meet Vulterus in the common room, his sprites have been added. Multiple data-pad entries giving lore and context to the world around you.

AFTER VULTERUS'S SPRITES, YOU CAN FAST FORWARD TO THE FIRST DIALOGUE OPTION WITH ATTICUS IN THE VERMILLION. After that scene, The next 25,000 words are different, with a few patches of previous content (Namely Kai's emotional scene) that are the same.

YOU CAN SKIP KAI'S EMOTIONAL SCENE IF YOU WANT, BUT DON'T GO TOO FAR, AS THE AUDITORIUM SCENE IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

Once you first get lines from Kezza, other than the addition of Vulterus's sprites, Everything is identical up to the Club scene, where two new CG's have been added (they are spicy, please enjoy them :) )

AFTER THE CLUB SCENE, AND THE CG OF THE BODY IN THE CEILING, IT'S ALL NEW CONTENT AFTER THAT, AND YOU DON'T NEED THE SKIP BUTTON ANYMORE <3
