Gameplay of Beat Street:

When you start, you will first undergo a short tutorial to teach you about the game’s controls. During the tutorial, you will also learn about the different fighting moves that you can use in the game. This will help you understand better how the game works and what you need to do to fight enemies. After the tutorial, you will be given a scroll for a special move that you can use against opponents.

Once done, you will begin your first journey. In the first city, you will be fighting against an evil gang of rats who are taking over. You will use all of the moves you’ve learned in the tutorial to battle enemies. Aside from the health bar, you will also have an energy bar that you need to fill up. Once filled up, you can use your special move, which is a series of combos that can quickly kill enemies.

To fill up the energy bar, you just need to continue hitting opponents. At the end of each city, you will be facing a gang leader. They are more powerful than the henchmen so it will be harder to take them down. Throughout the fight, you will also earn gold coins, which you can use for upgrades and purchases.

You also get to earn scrolls, which will allow you to perform more special moves during fights. To level up, you will also need to collect character icons. You will need a certain number of character icons before your character can level up. There are also other heroes that you can unlock and acquire to use in this game. Remember, the enemies become stronger as you progress in the story.

Useful Tips of Beat Street:

A lot of the time, simply punching and moving out the way quickly is all you’re going to need. Movement is done by dragging your finger around the screen. Ducking and diving is everything when you’re up against a group of enemies.

Swoop in, tap a few times to punch your foe, then get out the way.

At all times, avoid being trapped between two or more enemies. If there are blows coming at you on either side, it’s going to be impossible to avoid taking damage. It doesn’t take long for you to be knocked out.

Smash up mailboxes and anything else you come across. Invariably, they’ll release a bunch of coins or sometimes a weapon. Weapons aren’t permanent but they do cause extra damage for a time.

Save your special attack button for near the end of a level if possible. A flurry of combo punches is a huge help when fighting a boss. You don’t want to waste it on something puny.

At the end of each level, you’re given some rewards along with the option to watch an advert to double your coin tally. Always watch the advert! It’s dull but coins aren’t as plentiful as you’d like them to be. It’ll really help you in your quest to level up.

Don’t be afraid to replay earlier stages to gain extra stars. This is particularly helpful when you’ve levelled up a few times so the early stages are really easy.

You’ll gradually earn keys as you play. These unlock special chests that offer gems, coins, and other bonuses. Don’t forget to check in once in a while.

Each day, you can gain a log in bonus in the form of a chest. Log in whenever you get the chance, even if you won’t have time to play the game.

Check out the daily quests for some easy ways to gain coins. Things like accruing combos, getting hit a certain number of times or defeating a set number of enemies all leads to easy coins.

fun mobile arcade-like beat-em-up. Not very challenging, but a fun time wasted with plenty of content (though it is alot of different colors of the same enemies with constantly growing health pools, the challenge is beating them faster to grow stronger quicker). I wouldn't spend money on the game though as I don't think the developers patch the game and some features like watching ads for rewards are straight up not working at all. For all I know the game could stop working entirely!

It's a real solid game and I really enjoy it. I hope there's longevity and continual support to the game and there should be a better way of giving people who play incentive to do the multiplayer modes. I also wish there was actual cloud saves. I put a significant amount of money into the game using my Google account, but when I change phones all my data is gone? That's not cool.

Beat Street is a polished pixel style beat em up that has drawn me in not only for the art and theme but also the one hand controls that still offer exciting combat using gestures like flicks, drags, hold & tap. Simple yet complex enough to keep it engaging. have not tried the co-op multiplayer but looks promising to keep me fighting. It reminds me alot of games like Streets of Rage or TMNT Shredders Revenge.

This is probably some of the most fun I've ever had on a mobile game. Normally after a couple of days I would delete any other game I decided to try out for a while but this one had stuck with me. I appreciate the game only let's you play for a certain amount of time because if I didn't I would get burnt out on it and delete it too, but it hasn't! It's a great game that's a load of fun and lots of unique characters to unlock. I highly recommend this game!!
