Even then, it's very hard to find yourself completely off the right path, so they could be fine without it.I accidentally had it on when I first started playing, and was frustrated that I didn't feel in control of my kart, making it harder to pull off shortcuts and weave between racers. Well... this is why. Trust me, you'll want to be the one behind the wheel.

Save Defensive Items For The Right Moment: During early access, much was said about Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds' item pool. They were not kidding - it's incredibly punishing. If you're in first place, then don't expect to get a massive lead on everyone else, because there's no shortage of items to help others catch up to you, or drag you back to them.For this reason, don't go using your items as soon as you get them. Even something simple, like a hazard you chuck behind you, can be handy in a pinch if there's an item locked on you. You can still drop weapons if you're attacked, but it won't be a massive loss, and it's better to hold onto defensive items for when you actually need them.

Keep Power Sliding In The Water: I'm sure most of us are used to power sliding as much as possible, but in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, it's possible where you might least expect it - in the water. Better yet, I've found that water power-sliding doesn't even require you to actually turn. Even if you're going in a straight line, hold down the button to power slide, and you'll build up boosts.
