Players help OMGkawaiiAngel increase her popularity and number of followers until she reaches a million, witnessing the burdens and chaos of her daily streams. Gameplay of Needy Streamer Overload:

The game follows Ame and the player character, P-chan, who is her partner and producer. Ame wishes to become a popular streamer, going by an online alias known as "OMGKawaiiAngel" to earn money through super chats from viewers. The main goal of the game is to get one million subscribers in less than 1 month. Every day, through a Windows 9x-esque user interface, P-chan can decide what activities Ame does every day in order to grasp new ideas for streams, which will also raise or lower three stats in very different ways: stress, affection, and mental darkness.

Ame can only stream at night. During her live streams, the player has the role of a content moderator tasked with deleting inappropriate comments and highlighting super-chats them for Ame to read. Streaming is the main way of increasing her follower count, the most "important" stat and entire reason of the game.

At the end of every activity or stream, Ame will post on Tweeter pertaining to them in her main persona account @x_angelkawaii_x and her private account, the latter in which she will usually express her real thoughts. Each day is also split into three stages (Noon, Night and Dusk) and every activity takes up one or two stages. Your stats will directly influence what of the 27 endings the player receives. There are three types of endings. Stream based endings (endings that require you to complete all the streams of a certain topics), Stats based endings (endings that trigger on 30 by having a certain amount of affection, mental darkness, followers or multiple at the same time, whether its less or more) and early stats based endings (endings that require you to have a certain amount of a stats, but are triggered whatever day you want).

There are some endings that dont fall into any of these categories. Such as SMT and Blazing Hell.

Stickers Ame dislikes include: “OK,” “IDC,” and “THIS.” These can trigger negative reactions.

Certain replies (e.g., using “OK” when Ame requests intimacy) may automatically trigger Hang Out → ***. Choosing alternatives like “Sorry” or “:(” prevents automatic progression.

Messages vary depending on Ame’s stats (Mental Darkness, Stress, Affection, Followers). These modifiers are displayed above her messages when triggered.

Some messages force automatic actions (e.g., going out, sleeping in, or intimacy). To override these, reload from the start of the day.

The way it tackles genuine and serious topics is truly commendable, I won't spoil anything but the storylines and endings feel so real. There are also so many endings so the game has lots of replay value, if you're looking for a well written, story driven, psychological horror game I think Needy Streamer Overload is well worth your time.

This game.It's a masterpiece, in my eyes.I'm one of those person, the game resonated really deep within me.I don't know of enough word to say how well the game is written.All the endings, the secret, the easter egg, feel so.. broken, but in a realistic way to me, it's really special.I know my review is very subjective, but I think the strength of the game is how it makes everyone's brain act up differently, at least all of the other people I've spoke to about it made me realize that everyone play, enjoy and gets tripped up by the game in completely different way.I really can't recommend this enough, this game is an unique experience.

I've been playing this game on and off since yesterday and unlocking around half the endings and streaming events, and what started as some kind of Doki styled Idol manager sim is turning out to be a huge slap in the face to a lot of people.I've read on steam over and over how relatable the Streamer girl is and I have to agree that for people who grew up with internet the different routes you can take are pretty much tailored to different personality types, of course not the healthy ones.I can certify that the devs knew what they were doing when they did the Rainbow Girl ending, this is a good description of what [Censored] makes you feel like and how she looks happy but is def hollow inside.The main character isn't the player, it's her, it's you.This can also be interpreted as a really well made and trippy satire of internet in general and an occasion to look back at how we grew up.That is, if you can get past the physical repulsion and sanity drop this game can induce.Doki Doki, Pony Island, Lobotomy Corporation / Library of Ruina, this game and a few other titles that I don't have on top of my mind should straight up be considered as a new subgenre of Psychological Horror that looks happy but make you go through hell and I hope it keeps rising in popularity because DAMN it's good.
