Useful Tips of Cat Magic School:

There are many ways to approach the game, so take this as just my personal experience. Others may have different strategies to share.

The biggest thing to keep in mind about moving on to the next map is that event and adventure bonuses usually only apply to your Primary Progression map (I do need to make up some nomenclature for the maps, but by this I mean the furthest "along" you are on the map path.) If you advance too quickly, progression in those earlier maps gets a little harder, particularly with unlocking cards for intermediate and advanced professors from cauldrons.

I generally focused on finishing the missions in each school before moving forward. That said, I also jumped to Spiketail fairly quickly. Right now, I am holding off on the newest map (9) until I complete my missions on my current one. I do not try to max out every professor before moving on, but I have managed to finish most of them lately, mainly thanks to opening cauldrons during rush events.

When starting a new map, my current approach is to buy the first level symbol for each classroom I open, since they can both indirectly reduce wait time (and early on that can be intense!) as well as help boost tuition. I think spending those extra gems gets a lot easier to do when half of your daily free cauldrons start turning into gems. I try to go back to the earliest map that still needs professor cards at that tier when opening my free daily cauldrons, but I do still hit maxed professors quite often (which will give gems back.)

Expect each map to include at least one big gold sink room upgrade that shouldn't be completed before you move on. This is usually the wait time for the last classroom. You will usually need to cycle between schools to gather trillions of gold for all of the unlocks. I have been playing for a few months and I still do not have that last upgrade in the first school completed.

When you get further along you will unlock Rushes, which will seriously impact how and when you want to spend resources (Gems, Cauldrons, Equipment Vouchers, Skill Vouchers, Wizard Stones, Stamina). Rush events pop up every few days, and there is always at least one active. You will really benefit from saving those lower-level Wizard Stone point spends in your Secret Room instead of buying them early, since they become extremely valuable for fueling rush runs. The rewards for rush runs and the rush store will effect your Currently Selected map you visit the event from, rather than being tied to the Primary Progression map.

I need to also give a tip about Adventures (aka Dungeons). Do NOT feel like you need to grind progress here until you need to for your missions. I would recommend against pushing too far too fast, because basically every school requires you to complete a few of these, and if you've hit a wall that can get difficult. You can use the Sweep feature to spend stamina so it doesn't go to waste either way, it's the little map and compass icon. There are already threads here discussing builds so I'm not going to dig further into that.

As for upgrade paths, my main priorities were Wizard Stones (both with Gems and Stones) and unlocking more Guild Potion Rewards, base Stamina, and next will be Soul.

So tiny and cute! 10/10 game! only bug ive found was a one off where it wouldnt let me access the wizard stone tab after i had built the poition making class, but i just had to restart the game, and it worked just like normal!

If you're familiar with Army Game style games (with the training camps), this is similar with your standard Treeplla cat adorableness and theming inspired by a certain series of books centering around a magical school. The only thing is that I feel bad when the cats get upset and leave because the line is too long or they fail! They do seem to come back, though. BTW, I recommend the no ads package. $20 for an Army Game might be steep for some, though.

Lots of improvements to be made, I'm here for it. *Edit My opinion after a few days of playing this game: You must watch a lot of ads to play this game effectively. I estimate around 10+ ads if you play for around 30 minutes a day like me. My entire gameplay would be just watching ads, literally. Despite that, if you find big numbers is satisfying, keep playing.
