Wild Woods is a popular multiplayer game where players team up with up to three other players to embark on an adventure. Players take on the roles of different woodland animals, protecting their wagons and gathering resources during the day, while remaining vigilant at night to safeguard them from bandits and traps. The game offers players different route choices, each with varying levels of danger. Will you choose a dangerous route for greater rewards or a safer one for peace of mind? The choice is yours. As the game progresses, players can also customize their cats with different skins to make them even more attractive.

Gameplay of Wild Woods:

Wild Woods is a couch co-op game full of action, teamwork and woodland critters. One to four players take on the role of brave little cats defending their wooden wagon on its way through a dangerous forest.

Clever cooperation is key as their way is full of obstacles. While daytime is all about collecting resources and improving your trusty wagon, things get risky during the night. When the sun sets, bandit bunnies and badgers rally to attack! The feline friends must defend their wagon while ensuring their beacon fire does not die out.

During their journey players must consider how they want to approach the dangers of each adventure. Extra rewards await if they decide to go for challenging encounters! Will you keep stacking challenges to try and go for the biggest prize?

On the other hand, going a safer route might allow for more risk-free collection of resources. Discover the thrill of choosing your own level of risk — it's all part of the adventure.

Each journey has its own course and it is up to you to make wise decisions accordingly.

Play the way you want to. Multiplayer sessions in Wild Woods can be played locally, fully online, or with a mix of local and online players! Using the Remote Play Together feature, you can simulate local play even if your friends are in faraway places.

Useful Tips of Wild Woods:

The game is designed for co-op. Make sure one of you stays by the wagon to keep the fire going. Coordinate with each other, or if communication isn't possible, keep an eye on things yourself. Enemies will appear at night, and the fire needs to be regularly refueled, otherwise you'll freeze to death.

Wood is essential for wagon repairs, fires, and upgrades. Gather it as a priority.

Keep moving. Many enemies—in fact, all of them—need something to provoke them. So, when an enemy attacks, it takes a moment for the blow to actually land. Movement is key.

Sometimes there are piles of leaves. Destroying one will cause a new one to appear. Repeat this a few times, and you'll find a chest. Destroy the chest and haul the loot back to the wagon.

At the beginning, take paths with challenges you haven't yet encountered so you can unlock and see everything as quickly as possible. This also applies to upgrades. Theoretically, it's not crucial for gameplay, but I think it's practical to unlock everything first.

Choose a class that suits you and try them all out. Melee fighters with swords, ranged fighters with throwing knives, healers with short-range ranged attacks.

When badgers or other enemies that can damage the wagon approach, make sure you don't stand too close. If the enemies wind up with an attack that can damage the wagon, it will happen. So, make sure these attacks miss. You'll protect the wagon best by staying far away. When delivering items, healing, or using a potion, make sure you don't have badgers or anything else on your tail.

Upgrade Strategy: Invest early in your preferred upgrade paths and quickly unlock the entire chain for the maximum boost in a category.

Weapon and armor upgrades are a lasting offensive and defensive powerhouse that's worth investing in.

Prioritize your enemies. Simple rabbits run around and attack you, they're excellent at kiting, so they just follow you... let them. Get mice, deployed buffs, flying squirrels, wild boars, and archers first.

Utilize special abilities. Some characters have special abilities – use them tactically, e.g., for healing or area damage. Be aware that some abilities cost resources. I prioritize the knife thrower. No resource cost and range is often invaluable.

Is resource gathering your strength? Let the others fight and gather resources! Just make sure the cart doesn't get damaged in the process!

The game is simple and fun. It's a basic Roguelike and it's still very early in its life. As is, on 03/18/2025, I feel like 3-5 hours is all you're going to get out of the game. It's not got a ton of content in yet but it's serviceable and enjoyable. They have plans to add a lot more and I have made some suggestions to keep up replayability but ultimately this is a game, I enjoyed it, got about 3 hours out of it so far and feel like I beat all the current content. It's a little pricey for the current content but you always have to remember that you're paying for the game's future, not just the current state of the game. The devs seem like they want to do more and it's being worked on, maybe not as fast as a lot of people would like, but it is marching forward.So, I do advise you wait for a sale, the game felt like $5-8 worth of play for me but you will probably enjoy it, the more people you play with will give you more time, and the world is really neat. So I recommend this game, just not probably at full price as is.

I tried the demo of this game a few years ago, shortly after looking for something similar to Unrailed. My wife and I joined the creators' Discord and followed every game update, rooting for its release.The game is very fun and easy to play, besides being super cute. For anyone who enjoys couch co-op, it’s fantastic.

Me and my girlfriend have been playing this game and its been great so far. The level of difficulty is good, we've beaten the first two bosses on our second run and are still going, those who are saying its hard are bad at games lol. The game has a nice art style and graphics and some interesting unique mechanics. You can definitely tell this is in early access but overall it's a great game and I cant wait for more updates.

Can you make it possible to change the keyboard layout?

Custom keyboard controls are planned for the final release. For this demo though, the keyboard controls will remain fixed as follows:
