CookieRun: OvenBreak is a popular action-packed parkour game where players control cookie characters with unique skills in a thrilling side-scrolling adventure. Players must use agile multi-jumps and slides to dodge obstacles and collect various jellies and treats along the way to achieve higher scores and compete against other players. The game features hundreds of different cookie character types to collect. Players can strategically select and upgrade different characters to participate in relay races, trophy races, cookie trials, and more, vying for even more rewards.

Modes:

This isn’t just a one-button runner; it’s a full ecosystem of challenges:

Breakout Mode: Run relay-style using multiple Cookies in sequence, aiming for marathon distances and huge rewards.

Trophy Race: Compete in real-time against global players. Finishing first means trophies, crystals, and ranking glory.

Trials Mode: Solo stages centered on one Cookie’s theme; perfect your timing to earn Star Candies.

Guild Run: Team up with friends and race cooperatively for shared seasonal prizes.

Story Stages (Island of Memories): Narrative missions that reveal each Cookie’s past and relationships.

This variety ensures you never get bored. Whether you prefer friendly competition or single-player mastery, there’s a mode tailored to your mood.

Cookies:

Cookies are the main playable characters, each with unique theming and skills. They are the runners who must dodge obstacles and pits and collect Jellies. The majority of LINE Cookies returned to this installment, with new Cookies introduced alongside. Either one or two Cookies are released each month, and older Cookies are often buffed with Costumes, Magic Candy, or simple statistic improvements. Since the Season 6 Update, all Cookies have the maximum level of 15. Cookies are classified into five rarities.

Common Cookies are weak Cookies that are easy to obtain, all being unlocked from the start. Many copies of them are needed to fully upgrade them. There are only four Common Cookies, all from previous games - GingerBrave GingerBrave, GingerBright GingerBright, Strawberry Cookie Strawberry Cookie, and Skater Cookie Skater Cookie.

Rare Cookies are available from Gold Chests and Supreme Cookie Chest (in the Gem Exchange Center), so they are naturally collected in large amounts. Some Rare Cookies can be surprisingly useful, as they receive Magic Candy and other upgrades, sometimes overshadowing even Epic Cookies. There are 17 Rare Cookies, most recent one being Pilot Cookie Pilot Cookie.

Epic Cookies are the most numerous rarity of Cookie, as most newly added Cookies are Epic. They tend to be strong, but the large amount of them means there is a lot of variation in their power. The main way of unlocking Epic Cookies is by spending Crystals or collecting Trial Star Candies and can be leveled up using Crystals or Cookie Potions. The amount of them is constantly increasing every update.

Legendary Cookies are a small group of powerful and flashy Cookies that are not easy to accumulate. They are very difficult to collect. Some Legendary Cookies have a Legendary Combi Pet, while others have an Epic Combi Pet. Like Epic Cookies, Legendary Cookies can only be unlocked by using Crystals or collecting Trial Star Candies, and they only are upgradable using Legendary Cookie Potions.

Special Cookies are promotional Cookies that are available during Events, and are very difficult to obtain without spending real money. There have been only six Special Cookies - Hello Kitty Hello Kitty and Mimmy Mimmy promoting Sanrio, Cookiedroid Cookiedroid promoting the Google Play Store, Coffee Cookie Coffee Cookie, Buttercream Choco Cookie Buttercream Choco Cookie and Special Force Cookie Special Force Cookie. Special Cookies require less copies to level up. You may obtain some special cookies from Buddy Chest Draw.

Strategies:

Theres the gem exchange shop you can find in one of the tabs in the rewards section (bottom left of your main menu screen where one of your cookies is displayed center stage) exchange for various items. This is pretty much the only place you can spend the yellow gems on, and given that the game rewards you with these gems frequently in various game modes, you should spend those as much as you reasonably can. 

For what to spend them on, I usually go for the gacha items like cookie chest, pet egg, treasure gacha tickets, as well as the currencies like crystals, rainbow cubes, coins, etc. The cookie/pet potions too. Various tickets are also good to get like the treasure/magic candy enhancement tickets if you have fully lvled treasures and magic candies. 

(Ps theres a section where u can exchange the gold gems for legendaries and following OP's advice, DONT EXCHANGE FOR THEM. Just one copy is ridiculously costly. Ok I mean I cant tell you not to do that cus you have the free will to do whatever you want, but OP has alrdy explained why legendaries are a no go for newer players, esp f2p.) 

If you have enough, you can also buy the blueprints so you can create stuff in the lab. Do rmb to check in on what stuff u can make in the lab every now and then. The ingredients are usually given by the surprise bears that u collect while completing runs, but what items you get can be very rng so dont need to care too much on getting specific ingredients. 

On what u should be saving ur diamonds for...prob on leveling up the few recommended cookie and pet combis, then getting/lveling up the very good treasures. I say combis first cus its straightforward to level them up. Treasures, though, you still have good ole rng to deal with in gacha, so dont dump all ur crystals here if your combis arent maxed out. 

For other currencies, you can farm for coins every now and then once you complete the main story mode stages. Do extremely well in some of these stages and you get bonus coin boxes that reward you with, as you guessed it, coins. Quick run tickets can be helpful you for quick farming these coin boxes, though note that theres a limit of 5 coin boxes (so 5 runs) you can obtain per day. 

And finally I like to bring up the magic powder. These can be used to substitute magic candy ingredients, which is amazingly convenient since trying to get the specific ingredients you want for each cookie is a painnnnn. You can buy the powder with the yellow gems in the gem exchange, extracting the powder from ingredients through the lab, or from surprise bears.

the game itself is very amazing, when I first installed this game, I thought it was just a Jump and slide game with different cookies to play or choose—But even tho it is, there's actually a lot of modes, not just jump and slide, raid run, trophy race, breakout, main story, and many more!! also the updates are very amazing it gives a lot of rewards!! and the cookies? they are very stunning and well made! great work, also the guild and friends make this game more fun :D.

This game is really nice and smooth to play. The graphics aren't the best but since it's 10 years old it's acceptable; although, the characters are really cute and each one of them has a different skill and level where you can make them run. Honestly the online modes are my favorites, but you need internet connection even for playing alone. I recommend this also because it doesn't lag on phone.

My favourite game for many years, it's so interesting and inventive, and I always have what to do. You can absolutely skip modes you don't like to play, and it does not affect the joy and diversity of a game (please delete Memory island and invocation cards finally!). Design, music and storytelling is great, and this game is so generous when it's coming to resources and wins. Long live Devsisters!

I've been playing since 2019 and I still adore this game. The regular updates keeps the gameplay feeling fresh and the new cookie designs never fail to disappoint. I do kinda miss the gacha system for leveling up cookies, but other than that I really have no complaints. If you play regularly you're able to get enough currency to keep up with the new cookies and level up old ones. Overall, I love this game and 100% recommended it.
