Photography-Based Gameplay: Use your camera to document the horror unfolding around you.
Dynamic Environments: Explore abandoned buildings, dark alleyways, and crumbling cityscapes.
Press Card System: To continue your journey, manage your limited press cards wisely.
Realistic Graphics & Sound Design: Engage yourself in a highly detailed, spine-chilling world.
Risk vs. Reward Mechanics: The closer you get to danger, the more spectacular your footage—but at what cost?

When you start a mission and move towards your objective - make a mental note of the locations of any manholes you find. Not only will it help your safe return later, but you can use those to kill Clubby and Dog aliens.
When inside a building, listen for landmines and keep an eye out for string traps. Those two things can be used to kill monster/aliens. If you play it right and bait a monster into a landmine, you can get a very easy (and high scoring) photo during the explosion. Just be sure to be outside of the blast radius.
When inside, look for the floating 'ball' monsters (named "Shiny"). IF you have a high amount of stamina, walk up and trigger it then run away (count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in your head as you run) - then turn and take a photo as it blows up. It's an easy way to get consistent high score photos indoors.
You can use corpses to knock down aliens that are getting a bit too spicy (both inside and outside, OTHER than the Tormentor - who for some reason is invulnerable to being struck with a corpse).
Don't hide behind vehicles if being attacked by Dogs / Parasites (ones that throw rocks), as the vehicle will move when struck by the alien and has a very high chance of popping you like a zit. DO hide behind the large trees outdoors (and fences) though.
Stay away from military outside. They have a higher chance to kill you than help you, as they're prone to fire the rocket launcher at point blank range (either at each other on accident, at an alien, a tree, rocks, the air, etc).
Use body parts/corpses for high score multipliers when outside. Take whatever you can gather and make a pile (dead civilians / reporters / aliens / military) - so that when you DO take a photo of a monster/kaiju/whatever; you get all the limb/gore bonuses.

It's a very fun game for playing with friends, there are a lot of moments to giggle and kick your feet to, and we really enjoyed it. We played it once or twice upon release and recently, after they released a bunch of updates. However, it leaves you wishing for more. Just more monsters, more interactions, more content in general. After playing for 3-5 hours it will get very repetitive and you will get to see everything this game has to offer. Even existing content in the game may feel lacking and unfinished like when we called an air strike on a UFO and projectiles just passed through, very unsatisfying. If this game had workshop or more mechanics that create wilder stuff as a result of it it would be so much more replayable.I'm not yapping all of this to discredit the game, I did like it and considering the price I think it delivered well, and we might come back to it in the future if devs release more updates. However, if you're looking for something that will last you longer than a couple of evenings or you really dislike occasional raw edges, then this might be not for you.
How can you not recommend this game, its a ton of fun with friends!I keep recommending it to new people even though i don't have a lot of hours in it yet.The developers keep giving us new content that just makes the game better every time so if you go a few months betweeen sessions there's always something new to discover.Highly recommend, GREAT game!
Played only for 30 minutes, but I must say, this game has me on the edge of seat, and its so damn laughable, I absolutely love this, the experience is just top notch, the facial expressions, the funny actions done by the reporter, I seriously can't wait to try it out with my friends, if there is anything that makes me want to buy a coop game more than ever, then The Headliners is definitely the one.
Most fun with a group of friends! If you like Content Warning/Lethal Company shenanigans, you'll have a lot of fun in this. Needs some adjustments to make it a great game though...we need more reasons to go inside the buildings. Right now it makes sense to stay outside and get all the best big money shots. Need to make the inside have that big money incentive, as well, or it isn't worth it. But other than that, if you love running around with your friends and taking their picture as they get murdered by Godzilla, you'll love this game.

All in all, The Headliners isn’t about chasing high scores—it’s about those real, pulse-pounding moments you’ll remember long after you put your phone down. It’s made for players who crave something more interactive and story-driven, without taking itself too seriously. Whether you’re a horror fan, a strategy buff, or just someone who likes games with real personality, there’s plenty here to keep you and your friends talking for days.
