Citizens have four stats: Stamina, Smarts, Charm, and Talent. These help them find work and win contests.

Citizens have one of four personalities: Idealistic, Earnest, Easygoing, and Lively. A person’s personality affects their stat gain rates and can help in negotiation.

Take a citizen’s personality into account before dumping stat items on them.

Citizens can gain hobbies as they use facilities. Once a citizen has a hobby, they can join contests to win money, new items, as well as rank up.

The higher the rank of a citizen, the higher its stats and income. They’ll also be more demanding in terms of housing, so ensure that you’re constantly improving your residential zones.

Just like residential lots, improving the three vital stats is paramount for commercial zones: though skip on comfort as businesses don’t need that.

You can trigger a combo by placing two highly compatible businesses near each other. A potential combo is indicated by a handshake icon when placing a new business.

Combo bonuses are retained even if you move the partners away from each other.

Each business has goals to meet; helping them achieve these milestones unlocks new items, allows them to hire residents, and increases how many of that facility you can place. Tap on the 2 tab when selecting a business to view its goals.

Some business owners need to be negotiated with before they’ll come to your island. Negotiation requires you to send a citizen to the job; try to ensure that their hobby and personality match those of the business owner.

Best $3 (actually 99 cents because I had a coupon) I ever spent! I was in so much pain after my surgery, but as soon as I started playing this, time flew by, and I forgot the pain. There's also more than enough levels to play, I started off with a small village, and then once that was over, I moved on to bigger cities I could build up from scratch with lots of additional buildings to unlock. I love organizing things and making my Sims happy, so this was a perfect game for me! Thanks a million!!

So far so good I've been playing kairosoft games for over a decade, and it's nice to frequently return to the familiarity, yet enjoy small differences, or little changes over time. This game has decent pacing, and the combo system requires fewer buildings than other games. It runs well, no glitching, and the game helps you out a lot if you overspend early on.

Kairosoft fans, this is a must-play! Whoa, all the little details and animations in this is awesome. Townspeople can even get married and have family trees! There's a day night cycle, terrain tools, planting fields, different camera angles (!!) and tons of facilities. You can even toggle to see what they're doing in the homes and shops. Lots of love went into this quintessential title. Easy to progress and no guesswork for combos. Definitely a top 5 Kairosoft game, get it!!

the game is too fun, it's easy to play, even if you generally suck at playing games. when I first started playing kairosoft games I would worry about every little detail because there are so. many. ! but then I realized the game progresses whether or not you fiddle with them. my favorite thing about this all consuming and yet super chill game is that you can play with generations of the same families if you want to. goals when met are super satisfying, but if you can't until year 200 no biggie.
