Gameplay

The controls in Life is a Game are relatively simple. In the lower part of the screen, you have all the action buttons. With the two on the right, you can make decisions and jump (a key move in reaching elements you want to grab). On the left, you have three other buttons to activate the results of your choices.

Your character starts out the game as a baby, having you try to grab bottles and little else. But as you advance, you'll evolve through different life stages: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, old age, and eventually, death. Just like in real life, death is inevitable, but your actions will dictate how you reach it.

RUN ACTION STYLE ACTION IS BASIC

When the game starts, it automatically scrolls to the right. As we progress, we grow older. Use your jumps to collect items in the air to increase your talent stats and affect your future life. If you work, you can get money, but your physical stats such as health and happiness will decrease. Take care of your body so that you don’t accumulate too much stress.

The game will make you feel sad and happy in just a few minutes, living a life with so much uncontrollable factors just like real life. Still, I agree with some other reviewers that this game urgently needs a tutorial. Despite there's only a few buttons to press, the game has so many unexplained elements that, for some, can be very confusing.

Some typos when switching chatecters. other than that from the start, [[[[[Spoilers]]]] the idea of choosing to have a guardian or not, ..and not choosing it making it difficult for the child to get happiness. This was such a nice way of showing what we have. Having to squeeze in time to balance hobbies and relationships. it's nice to try out the various combinations of how you can mess up or possibly do well in life. It is short, but imo, that's all the time we have in life. Loved playing it.

I adore this game. It hits really hard, and the art also does a great job! I was at a low point while playing this, and it feels so much better to enjoy this a little. I would say, that the game is based on replayability, but each run is pretty short, like 5 minutes. So if there was an option to get a longer run, say 15 minutes, the game would be a lot more fun to replay. really great concept devs. it's executed in a way that's much better than bitlife simulator too.
