Demon Seed is a story-driven casual game where players take on the role of Minecraft, a character who, despite childhood trauma and the loss of his parents, is adopted by a new family. You will live with your stepmother and two stepsisters. As Minecraft grows, his supernatural powers will gradually increase. Will you use these powers to hypnotize or even manipulate those around you, or will you use both emotions and supernatural powers to win their hearts? The choice is yours. Players will encounter charming women with diverse personalities—confident, free-spirited, and proactive. Changelog:

Been heads down the last few weeks doing a metric ton of renders, and I'm happy to report all the writing for 0.6 is finally wrapped up.

Along the way I have added two bigger scenes and extended another one by a fair bit.

Good call in hindsinght, because one of them is, in my humble opinion, the coolest scene in 0.6. It features Mr. Yamamoto and a yet unknown, very influential friend(?) from his past.

Now that I have all scenes wrapped up I can fully focus on the remaining renders and animations of the update.

Last time I said this update would be about the same size as the last one...

I lied.

This is once again, the biggest update yet.

No idea how that keeps happening...

Anyways...

In the last devlog I mentioned I wasn't exactly sure if there would be any animated lewds. Reason being I couldn't really see where to put them without breaking the flow or making them feel forced. Fear not though, because your boy Volos has found a nice spot for some moving pictures of naked women (bouncing secondary gender characteristics included).

It's just a solo scene but anything else would have not made sense at all.

But I really like how the scene turned out so far.

On that note, I've been dabbling with an animation plugin for DAZ Studio, and while it's a little early to say for sure, I think this is going to make animations a lot more fun to make.

So you can expect a welcome increase in animated scenes going forward.

The only thing holding me back from going completely overboard right now is not having a dedicated rendering rig.We'll find a workaround for that someday... Maybe...

It's a little early for a release date, but if I can keep up my current pace I'll have news on that soon.

Next post I'll start introducing the new characters making their first appearance in 0.6. One of them is a new (side) LI, and the remaining three are dudes... So you probably won't care as much.

I almost gave up on this game in the first 30 minutes - the initial scenario (young man with "landlady" and female "housemates") seemed unoriginal to the point of parody, and the pre-fab DAZ settings too. How many times have we seen that park, and that cafe?But the game had been recommended on Patreon by another dev (Classy Lemon) whose work I admire, so I thought I'd give it another 30 minutes. It was then that I started to notice how very good the human models are. The facial expressions are very well done - and change between one image and the next! - making the already attractive LIs even more believable and sympathetic. And the body movements during animations are much better than in most VNs.As for the the plot, the MC's growing awareness of his supernatural origins is, again, not especially original, but well done in terms of the confusion and alarm it evokes in the MC. The plot gets you in, and you want to know what is going to happen.So, as an example of the "young-man-lives-with-mature-woman-and-her-daughters-has-sex-with-them-but-discovers-supernatural-heritage-and-fights-evil" genre, this one (so far, v.0.5.1) is one of the very best.

I was really hesitant to start the game. The game kept getting better. The renders improved with new updates. The plot is well written, the story progresses slowly with great detail. In my opinion the developers has managed to give attention to tiny details, kudos to that. The story has a promising plot, I hope the female characters are becoming a succubus of sort. I loved it and excited for the next part.

Played this game starting at version 0.5.1, and I can say the writing is pretty good so far, there are some issues, such as certain plot points not being explained enough, but the overall premise seems interesting. animations are decent and character models are serviceable. As of now though, I will warn you, there are very few choices that make a difference in the story; so this is more like an enjoy the ride/story vs choose your own adventure. Overall I like what I see, and will keep a close eye on this one.

Final Thoughts:

Demon Seed's actually a competently done up piece of work with a captivating story that is well executed to date. Most of the negative reviews seem to center around the lack of choices and the inability to reject Analle whom I agree is somebody unlikely to appeal to many people.
