While playing, I felt like I was living in the movie’s setting, not just rewatching an old story.

Recreating familiar people, places, and scenes preserves the chaos, tension, and violence. Actually, players can easily understand the theme of the movie and be engaged in this story without watching the movie first. The warriors, despite being a non-sensical flick doesn’t deviate from the book’s theme. Its earliness and reasonable extension of theme make it an adaptable flick.

Tips and Tricks:

The Warriors emphasizes close-quarters combat almost to the exclusion of everything else, setting it apart from most other Rockstar games.

Upon starting the game, the first impression is that all encounters are very close, very rough, with no distance to be safe.

Players have to constantly survey their surroundings, pick a target, and dodge the incoming attack only to soon counterattack.

After playing for some time, I figured the game doesn’t want you to press buttons at random but coordinate your attacks, grapple, and use your surroundings.

As players progress through the levels, the number of enemies will increase significantly, which forces the players to better control their position and attack rhythm.

In reality, the sense of fatigue and tension is already present, as if one was really fighting it out.
