For some characters, this acts as a cancel so you can reset a combo, or even as an additional attack, sometimes with big damage bonuses, or even a wall bounce for those combos to keep flowing.Test the results with each of your favorite characters, and slowly get into the habit of working them into your combos – they’ll become natural before long.

If you do use Super, do extra damage: So you decided to use your Super Move anyway, huh? Well, that’s fine, even if it’s not the most effective use of Meter, they do good damage and look fantastic in motion. But did you know that seemingly-static cutscene that plays out during a Super isn’t actually static?Don’t sit at your controller staring at the screen – when your character strikes your opponent, hit the Heavy Attack button each time. It might not be much, but successive hits will do more and more damage to your opponent – get every bit of damage you can out of those Supers!

Be aware of environmental objects: Injustice 2’s stages are littered with interactable objects in the environment which can range from Gotham’s police drones to flaming oil barrels and yes, even genuine giant crocodiles. And you can use them to your advantage.Smaller, lighter characters will use these environmental objects to jump off of, allowing you to easily close the gap between yourself and an enemy, or easily escape a potentially bad position in a corner.Larger characters, meanwhile, will use most stage objects are weapons. That giant crocodile? You’ll be hit with it. Flaming braziers hanging from the ceiling? Those’ll be thrown at you. People at a bar? You best believe they’ll get tossed about. Where’s the justice in that?

Get ready for Clashes: Depending on your situation, you might want to try and activate a clash. Once you or your opponent is into their second health bar, you can activate a clash, a fun cinematic scene where you can wager bars of your Meter against your opponent for a bonus.Characters with low health can wager bars of their Meter for a nice health boost to turn the tide, while those in the lead can secure their position by wagering to do massive damage.Keep in mind that after burning Meter or using a Super, you’ll be very vulnerable to a clash and might want to keep your distance from your opponent.

A solid sequel overall. Really enjoyed the story and got lots of screenshots from it. Growing up I was always more of a marvel fan but over the years I really grown to appreciate DC a lot more. Chose Batman side in the story because he was right plus Supergirl was on his side so it was a no brainer. It also has Hellboy and Leo from TMNT as playable characters! I would love for them to make a third one but I guess only time will tell. Also couldn't find anyone to verse online so unless you get a friend to verse, You will only play this for the campaign and Offline battles. I would wait until this goes on sale because the price they are asking for right now isn't worth it.

This is an excellent fighting game, though there are some things that aren't so great about it.For starters, the graphics are top notch. Characters and environments are insanely detailed, and everything looks great! The music is kinda bleh imo, but the gameplay and such makes up for it.New to the Injustice series, or fighting games in general? There's a tutorial mode that goes really in-depth on the various mechanics, and even fighting game terminology and things like "frame advantages" and "block pressure", useful things to know if you really want to get into the competitive side of things.The story mode is another big highlight, very movie like, and some chapters even allow you to choose which character to use to fight the battles, between two. Alternate endings are also a thing, so it enhances the replayability a bit. No quicktime events either, another plus.This game adds the "Multiverse", a series of rotating "planets' that have towers and events that have rewards for completing them, in addition to rewards for completing objectives for that group of towers. Some also have effects that change the battle, like hazards and modifiers.Now here's the big issue I have; the gear system and the loot boxes. While I don't mind unlocking gear to change how the fighters look and their stats, the fact that the one of the ONLY ways to earn them is from random loot boxes is annoying. Not to mention the microtransactions for "Source Crystals. The grind to get a character to max level is also very long.All in all I do recommend this fighter, but get ready for a grind.

Injustice 2 delivers an epic cinematic story that feels like playing through a DC blockbuster, continuing the events of the first game with memorable twists, spectacular battles, and excellent character moments. The refined combat, diverse roster, and Gear System add plenty of depth and replayability, while the visuals and animations still look fantastic years later. A fantastic choice for DC fans and anyone looking for a fighting game with a surprisingly strong story.
