Space Frontier

Space Frontier is a simulation game for Android phones. In the game, players launch rockets to higher altitudes, through the stratosphere, into orbit, and parallel with other new types of rockets. The game offers a variety of unique rockets for players to choose from. Players can also choose the launch location. The game supports interaction with friends, exploring planetary terrain and testing rocket flight capabilities. Mystery boxes containing rocket parts are given out periodically. Points are awarded for achieving the goal of not exploding. The game scores based on the rocket's altitude and the degree to which it avoids explosion.

Gameplay

Though the gameplay might seem very easy, it is in fact hard to master. The challenge of blasting off a rocket as high as possible is what makes this game addicting. 

To play, you’ll have to build rockets that can smoothly penetrate the stratosphere and launch into orbit and other planets. 

The controls are pretty intuitive. You’ll just have to tap on the screen and you can release the projectile.

Tips

If you're achievement-hunting, here are a few notes on what certain achievements are looking for:

"Precise" requires you to earn a score in the range of 990-1010 without blowing up. This is tricky since the nose cone flies quite awhile after the final stage has been jettisoned. You want to boost up to about 650-750 meters and then quickly tap to jettison any remaining stages.

"Defense Test" is similar, except your rocket needs to explode somewhere within 495-505. This is a very tight window, but you have slightly more control over when your rocket explodes since you just stop tapping and it happens shortly after.

What a game. Very much engaging. Cleared both the earth and mars and found two bugs. I can't open settings whenever I open this question mark button. The coin system, when a player opens the game, is not managed properly. Player gets same huge number of coins by just opening and closing the game. More coins, less challenge.

I played this game a couple of years ago and just redownloaded it and it got so much better. I love how they added a passive way to get money instead of just grinding forever and they actually added objectives instead of just trying to get max height. It's a super fun game to have to pass some time

I really love the game. The sun in the background and the commentary at the launch make it a classic. I would really like the developer to develop a new update with launching rockets from Europa. I've been sending people there for quite long and now it's getting boring. Otherwise, it's a great game!!
