Story of Only by Touch:

A four-year relationship came to an ugly end: jealousy, spying, and one final ultimatum. You packed your things and walked out: alone in a city that has nothing left for you. Not even a place to call your own.Three weeks of apartment hunting. A hotel room eating through the last of your savings. Your last shot is a sunlit apartment in a quiet neighborhood. The landlady only rents to women: and there's a reason for that: Rose has been blind since birth, and letting a man she doesn't know into her home has never been part of the plan. That conversation should have been over in a minute. Somehow, you ended up with a new room: and a new roommate.And so begins a story about two people learning to trust again. About an apartment that slowly turns into a home. And about a quiet life that ends the exact moment guests start knocking at your door.

Rose: a blind woman who loves music and books. She can't see your face, but she hears exactly what you're feeling in your voice. Her world is made of scents and sounds: and a touch means more than any glance ever could.

This looks like it could turn into a really good one. Granted, there wasn't a lot of content in this first release, and the developer is pretty upfront about that from the beginning, but from what I've seen so far, it seems like the story is going to focus more on relationships, the characters, and life in general.

If that's the direction they're going in, I really hope they stick with it because there already seems to be the beginning of a pretty interesting story here. Obviously, I'm expecting some bumps in the road and drama between the characters—that's part of what makes these stories interesting—but I really hope it stays grounded. I don't want to see the MC jumping into bed with every woman five minutes after meeting her just for the sake of adding another scene.

The writing was pretty good as well. If there were any typos, they certainly didn't stand out to me. Either there weren't many or they were minor enough that I never really noticed them, which is always a good sign.

I'm also glad there's music. Nothing kills the atmosphere of a story-driven game faster than going through the entire thing in silence, and having to play random music from YouTube in the background usually doesn't work because it rarely matches what's actually happening on screen. The music here helped give the scenes a little more atmosphere.

The renders are also really nice. Everything looked polished, and visually I don't really have anything negative to say about it.

For me, the long-term success of the game is going to depend on whether the developer can keep things grounded and stick to the vision they've laid out. I don't need some ridiculous scenario suddenly thrown into the story just to manufacture drama, and I definitely don't need every woman the MC meets immediately becoming another conquest.

I'm also interested to see how well the whole "choices matter" aspect holds up over time. I really like that the developer has made that clear right from the beginning. If certain choices can have consequences several chapters later, that's great, as long as the game gives you a fair chance to understand what you're doing. That's a lot better than playing through several chapters thinking you're following a particular path, only to suddenly have the rug pulled out from under you and find out that route is basically dead because of something the developer decided much later.

Overall, there's obviously not enough here yet to know exactly where the game is going, but I liked what I saw. The foundation is there for a grounded, relationship-focused story with good writing, attractive renders, and choices that could actually have some weight behind them. If the developer stays on course and doesn't feel the need to turn it into a collection of sex scenes connected by a thin story, I think this could become something really good.

Summary: A promising start with good writing, really nice renders, fitting music, and what appears to be a more grounded focus on relationships and everyday life. There's not much content yet, but the foundation is strong. The biggest thing for me will be seeing whether the developer sticks to that approach and genuinely follows through on the idea that choices can have meaningful consequences later in the story.
