Gboard is a popular keyboard software that supports diverse input methods including letters, voice, and handwriting. It uses accurate voice recognition technology to convert speech into text for easy input. It boasts a vast library of emojis and GIFs; simply enter keywords to display the corresponding symbols, allowing users to fully express their feelings. The software also supports hundreds of languages, easily switchable with a single click, and provides error correction based on the user's input, meeting all user needs.
Glide Typing: Gboard lets you slide your finger from letter to letter to form words. This reduces taps and helps you write messages quickly. It also pairs with smart corrections to keep sentences clear.
Voice typing: You can dictate messages directly from the keyboard by tapping the microphone. This is useful when your hands are busy or when long texts feel slower to type. Gboard converts speech to text with clear punctuation options.
Handwriting input: Gboard supports writing in cursive or printed letters in the keyboard area. This suits notes, names, and non Latin scripts where handwriting feels more natural. It also works well when you prefer a pen or stylus.
Multilingual typing: Gboard suggests and autocorrects across your enabled languages without manual switching. You can add multiple languages and keep one keyboard layout. This saves time for bilingual chats and mixed-language messages.
Emoji and GIF search: It includes fast search to find emojis and GIFs by keyword. On Android, the Search button focuses on in keyboard tools such as emoji, stickers, and GIFs. Web results inside Gboard were removed, so you can expect search to stay within the keyboard.

Gboard Available On Most Mobile Devices: Many smartphones and tablets come with Gboard preinstalled. Otherwise, the app is available in the Google Play Store free of charge. Launching Gboard prompts users to make it the default keyboard on their device. They're then able to access the keyboard settings and personalize how the keyboard functions. From there, Gboard pops up for typing whenever users need to enter text into a field on the device.
A Simple But Attractive Design: The keyboard itself features a minimalist design with various color schemes. Google chose to make the keyboard customizable but not flashy. By default, users encounter a traditional mobile keyboard layout that looks like other virtual keyboards. A minimalist design hides how many features power Gboard and make it unique. It's difficult to knock Gboard on style after using the keyboard for an extended period of time.
An Unparalleled Typing Experience For Users: Regardless of customizations, users will love the typing experience on Gboard. An extremely accurate autocorrect leads to few mistakes while typing fast. Machine learning discovers how a given user types and produces better predictive typing. Instead of watching every keypress, users can focus on getting text entered more quickly. Typing suggestions appear as users type, and these suggestions are often quite useful.
Customization Options In Gboard: As previously mentioned, Google developed Gboard with customization in mind. Users can customize the color scheme of the keyboard and its overall dimensions. A dedicated number bar above the keyboard can be toggled, too. Also, users can toggle haptic feedback and keypress sounds as well as long press duration. Most facets of the virtual keyboard come with customization solutions in order to make Gboard an extension of the user.

Awesome keyboard. First thing I install on a new device. Especially love the inline translate - please just up the word cap on that. The reason I ask to have the allowed word count capacity increased in the above mentioned is based on previous experience where I observed that properly worded sentences, such as this one as opposed to any of the previous, translate much better with original meaning (or rather intent) intact. See, I can use these small textboxes to write essays at times.
It's probably the best keyboard out there, but the period being so close to the Return key has caused me some annoyance, at times. I do have some round thumbs though. Overall, GBoard is still the best one. Samsungs keyboard sucks, iPhones keyboard is awful, and Swiftkey is lacking. So... While there are some small, obnoxious quirks, it's still the best, by a longshot.
I LOVE GBOARD STICKERS!!!! I've spent hours making them and they're all great quality and creative! Great as profile pictures too. It goes from mixing the expression emojis all the way to the legendary birds from Pokemon and different suitcases for a bunch of the animals not to mention you can change the color of most of the animals my mixing them with the color squares too.
I got Gboard to have voice to text again as I could not find it on my samsung s24 ultra. There are a lot if things I like about Gboard and only a few I don't like. The things I don't are easily summarized by "the buttons are a little different and don't match my muscle memory... yet" well worth the change! if you get it, take the time and go through the gboard settings to have it act the way you want.
