Choose a PIN you can always remember.

If you receive an SMS or a call from someone claiming they have sent you money by mistake, never send it back before you check your M-PESA balance.

Amazing app. starting from the subscription of the app it is simple, safe, and user friendly. It seems very simple but interacting with this app what fascinated me was when I was paying my bill in a cafe I found the 'tip' option which I can't still find in other mobile money apps. from this I can understand how they visualize the customer journey...

I think it is hiding the truth not to admire safaricom Ethiopia which is doing a great and effective job. Especialy we see that when working community-centered and we are seeing work that brings great benefits to the community. so tha I would appreciate that company !!!

Great app! One request though, it would be better if after a payment, the details of the payment (amount and receiver) were larger since it would be easier to show to the receiver that the payment has gone through. Currently it is hard to read.

Will the customer need an M PESA account to get an M PESA Virtual Card?

To open an M PESA Virtual Card, one must first register for an M PESA account.

What are the charges for this service?

Safaricom will charge a 3.5% markup on the transaction value at the current FX rate for international payments. This will be dependent on the billing currency's (KSh) exchange rate to the currency used at the time of purchase, such as USD, GBP, etc. There will be no additional charges, such as the M PESA transaction cost.

Will the customer be issued with a physical card?

No. This is a virtual card that will be accessed through the GlobalPay Mini-App on My OneApp.

How many cards is a customer eligible for?

At any one time, you are allowed only one (1) card per ID and it is linked to the registered M PESA account number. To apply for your card, you must register and hold an active M PESA Account.If a customer has multiple M PESA accounts, they will be required to cancel the card on one line in order to activate a new card on their alternative number.

How many times can a customer apply for an M PESA Virtual Card?

You can only apply for a maximum of four (4) new Card credentials within a period of one year (12 months) after activating your first Card Credentials. However, you are allowed only one card at any one time.
