Highlights of Zomato:

Restaurant discovery functions through layered filtering options. Users can narrow results by maximum budget and geographic location, allowing quick access to nearby or affordable options. The platform offers filtering by cuisine type and origin, with both local and international cuisines available. Dietary preferences are supported through dedicated options: users can isolate vegetarian-only restaurants from general search results, and within individual restaurant menus, vegetarian dishes can be filtered separately. A healthy meal filter surfaces recommendations curated by nutritionists, distinguishing health-conscious options from standard menu items. Restaurant profiles display menus, aggregated user ratings, written reviews, photographs of dishes and interior spaces, contact information, and directions to the physical location.

The platform extends beyond meal delivery through complementary services in select cities. Users can reserve tables at restaurants directly within the app, bypassing separate reservation systems. Intercity food delivery, branded as Intercity Legends, enables users to order from restaurants in different cities. Express delivery options, branded as Zomato Instant, prioritize speed for users willing to accept a narrower restaurant selection. Late-night delivery provides access to food during hours when most conventional restaurants are closed.

Dining transactions through the app's bill payment features can accumulate rewards. Participating restaurants can offer cashback reaching up to 100 percent of the bill for in-app payments. Periodic order discounts are also available through promotional partnerships, with reductions up to 60 percent depending on active campaigns and restaurant participation.

User-generated content shapes the platform's discovery ecosystem. Ratings and written reviews submitted by users are displayed on restaurant profiles, influencing browsing and decisions for potential diners. Persistent review visibility allows patterns to emerge across multiple user experiences at the same establishments.

User Reviews of Zomato:

Zomato is a very convenient food delivery app with a wide variety of restaurants and food options. The app is easy to use, and finding my favourite dishes is quick and simple. I like that I can check menus, prices, ratings, reviews, and delivery times before ordering. The tracking feature is also helpful because I can see the status of my order. The food usually arrives well packed and on time. There are also many offers and discounts that make ordering more affordable.

I’ve been using Zomato for quite some time and overall I’m happy with it. The app is easy to use, there are lots of restaurants to choose from, and ordering is pretty simple. Delivery is usually on time, and I really like the offers and discounts. Sometimes there are small issues with delivery or the app, but nothing major. Overall, a convenient app for ordering food.

I've been using this app for many years now. Absolute delight! The deals, the premium free everything is so reasonable. I rate it way higher than Swiggy or any other food delivery apps. Kudos to the team and the hardworking drivers.

Please add a special notification sound or visual indicator if the delivery partner has a physical disability, so we can reach them downstairs or at the door early. I understand there is a note about this in the app, but I didn't see it. My delivery partner was unable to speak or hear, and I only came to know about it while receiving the order. A more prominent notification would be really helpful.
