Explore the kingdom and prevent danger: Players role-play the dramatic story, and you will follow the journey. With many quests to solve, and many places waiting for you to explore, the palace is like a complex matrix. You will gradually reveal the truth your way and join the fight if you encounter bad guys. When allowed to attack and destroy you, monsters of higher rank appear. The kingdom’s safety is in your hands; quickly find a way to deal with the mess so that everything is peaceful again. In travelling, you can meet many people, get acquainted and make friends. However, it is also necessary to choose who to play with because there are both good people and bad guys in The Quest.

Selection of combat weapons: Enemies that are strong enough to deal with need adequate weapons to destroy. Players own a collection of support tools such as hammers, axes, armour, helmets, swords and many more. The defensive items will help a lot if the opponent attacks you and reduce the amount of health lost. You can choose weapons before going to battle and collect a lot of gold to exchange for valuable items. The weight or destruction of each trophy will be displayed in the right corner of the screen. Detailed descriptions are updated for players to evaluate and buy the right product. With various types of equipment, you can purchase enemy encrypted magic potions.

Counterattack dangerous opponents: As mentioned from the beginning, The Quest has drawn strong opponents. They have unique names, looks and powers; look for them one by one and eliminate them. The native map you are working on will also move in the player’s direction to determine the position of you and your opponent, easy to dodge or face-to-face. Green giants, evil witches, and fearsome hunters all gathered. They set up barriers to your exploration; disperse and walk through them with confidence. The player also meets the palace people and can ask for their help.

Explore the vast palace: The place where the kingdom existed as a vast land inhabited and many untapped voids. Players can freely conquer wild mountains, caves, rivers and even forests. There are a total of 12 equipment slots corresponding to body parts such as hats, armor, gloves, rings. These equipments help increase your basic stats such as damage, hp, mana significantly. Besides, you can also go to the store to buy and sell more suitable equipment. A series of weapons from melee to long-range are waiting for you to explore.

Upgrade your skills: Skills also play a big role in helping you defeat your opponents more easily. In addition to the default skills, you can also learn other skills. During the battle, your character receives experience points to level up. After leveling up, you can receive skill points to upgrade your skills. Your skills need to be upgraded to maximize their damage potential. From there, you can create breakthroughs in battle by using them.

Diverse mission system: The Quest has a diverse quest system distributed in many locations in the kingdom. Besides system quests, you can also search for quests through NPCs. Each quest is associated with mysterious stories within it. From there, you can learn more about the problems happening in this kingdom.In addition, you also receive a certain amount of experience points and rewards after completing the mission. These rewards contribute to increasing your strength to help you overcome the next challenge more simply. However, there are extremely difficult missions that require your ability to think and fight intelligently.

Comments:

I have just about every expansion to The Quest (now called “Classic”), simply because there is so much to do you can easily spend several hundred hours alone on this game. I bought the new and improved Quest because why not? It’s the best thing on the App Store ever! The drawings are more crisp and clear, the movements are more smooth, and I even noticed several gameplay improvements from the “Classic,” such as the card game AI seems to be not much of a pushover anymore (small things like that). I haven’t played that much on this new game (but I still bought four expansions), but there are a few things that keep this review from becoming the five star it deserves. No map markers to show quest points, no updating journals (or even a description of where the objectives are located), a few other nitpicking details that just seems odd not to have on here, especially with an updated game. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a game ending problem (although later on in the game, especially on the expansions, quest locations are far apart and sometimes complicated), but you WILL need to write certain objectives down in order to keep track of what you need to do. Once you forget only google will save you.

The Quest has had a place on every device I’ve owned for years. While it could be argued that the game and gameplay are dated, that is kind of the point. The fact that there is no firm way to achieve victory is a huge selling point. I’ve played through one quest at a time, collecting multiple quests and grinding away and I’ve also played as if the game is just a sandbox. The experience is different every time and while there is some overlap in operations, it still feels like a new game every single time and playing new paths is always rewarding.

How this isn’t top rpg on the store is crazy. You’ll like if you grew up on games like ultima/morrowind. The game often lets you figure things out and doesn’t hold your hand, which judging from others reviews people don’t like using their own head, they like being shown and told where to go and what to do 24/7. Over all pick up base game and fire and ice expansion, you’ll have more than enough playtime. If you find yourself itching for more, there are many more expansion packs. Cheers.
