Developer Notes:

I'm sure many of you are aware of the changes Itch.io have made to delisting NSFW games. If you haven't seen the news, Itch.io is no longer showing content like mine in their search engine, and the content of many developers like me, unless you know exactly how to look for it. It probably goes without saying, but this puts an enormous strain on higher-end developers with budgets, if not outright breaking them, forcing them to suddenly find new means of funding and marketing, or facing the possibility of canceling their projects.

The only good news for 'My Pervy Poltergeist' (MPP) is that this started out as a single-developer passion project with no funding, and has largely remained that way. The only exception being some needed modeling help, and more importantly a ton of co-writing help, with which I believe the game wouldn't be half as good without it. All of that is to say MPP isn't going anywhere, and while I deeply appreciate all the donations you have all made to me towards the game's development, the reality is it's never been enough to live on. I'm fully dedicated to this project and it's eventual completion, with or without funding.

The bad news, however, is that my plans for future projects, possibly requiring budgets and certainly more people, are now in jeopardy. My co-writer and I have so many stories we want to share, but until something at Itch.io changes, or a new platform emerges, those stories will have to be put off even further than we initially thought.

I have plenty of harsh opinions of these matters, regarding what Itch.io is doing. I'm sure many of you share my sentiment, but there are plenty more prolific NSFW developers here who have already said everything that's worth saying, to me personally. Still, it's always worth saying that if you care about my game and the others like it, take action: Flood the payment companies with complaints, contact your representative, etc.

My heart goes out to all developers affected by this, we need to stand together in times like this. Such a disgraceful decision from Itch.io.

My next update will surely be more positive and directed about the game's development. Thank you all so much again for your support, whatever form it comes in. I assure you it means everything to me.

I'd say it depends on if you do or don't mind roughly 30 minutes of content that gives you a good introduction to the characters and not much else.It's VERY bare bones on sexual content, mainly because I want to have custom animated scenes, but I don't know the animation system in CharaStudio very well at all. I might put in still image scenes as a temporary replacement depending on how impatient I get, lol.I personally prefer to wait to play these kind of games until there's at least an hour's worth of story to play, so if you're in a similar boat, then go ahead and wait.

Oooh, even though the only sex scene was skipped, I am really liking this one so far. It has a great fun setup and I really hope this one goes the distance. Listen to whooop Poopcicle , animations are overrated. I described it on another thread as the uncanny valley. You have a huge amount of diminishing returns on the effort to do animations. They aren't really necessary for a good VN either and bad animations can be much, much worse than none.

This game overall is very good when you compare it to most the AVN's out there. That's pretty much the short version. Now for the long version. I absolutely love the main plotline of this AVN, it's something new and that's refreshing to see. As for me who plays these AVN's mainly for the plotlines, I do have some things that I wanted to be improved upon but I would never impose upon the author. I want to start this off with making sure that I really do think that this game is so good so the following things I'm about to discuss are just my preferences and not necessarily criticism in any way, shape, or form. Also I am aware that games like these MOSTLY target people who are looking for something to get off to so really these words mean nothing. The storyline itself is pretty good, the issue I have with it is that it's all done very quickly with not much room to bond the player/reader with the story's characters. The schedules were also off and it ruined the immersion that I had (vacation this weekend = a month I think, meet Angelo on Monday = also a month I think) so I distracted myself to not ruin it further for me. The girls were also pretty much on the player's nose most of the time because if you say/do something they like they'll immediately jump you on a relationship the next or few interactions later, in short there were no bonding over with them too aside from what's given to us readers which is mostly transitional months. So I think this lead to an overall a quick experience (I finished it in one day but that's not a bad thing).One thing's for sure though, Richard and Clark were some of the best characters in this particular genre of AVN's! I was stoked to see that another AVN managed to design likable males (well I get that Clark is gay but I meant in terms of natural sex). So overall I really liked this so far. Will I still be reading/playing the next chapters? Absolutely! Do I expect anything to change? Not really because it's hard enough to make an AVN let alone a lone dev and from the looks of it it's not the Dev's main source of income so it could be hard to balance everything.
