Just Kiss Him Already! is a captivating love game. Players become a transfer student and work with their best friend Nanala to help Hayden and Arley, once best friends, reconcile. Remarkably, by the end of the story, you and Nanala will also begin to develop a new relationship. Players must employ various tactics to stop the estrangement and arguments between Hayden and Arley, and rediscover their mutual feelings. As the game progresses, their feelings will blossom into love. The game's exquisite graphics and outstanding soundtrack create a vibrant romantic atmosphere, offering players an immersive experience.
Take on the role of a new transfer student (name changeable), on your first day of school you meet estranged friends Hayden and Arley bickering in the hallway. Straight laced student counsel president, Hayden and slacker delinquent, Arley used to be the best of friends. But, now they’re constantly at each other’s throats. Its obvious to everyone that they’re totally into each other. They just need a bit of help realizing their feelings… That’s where you and Nanala, the boys’ mutual friend, come in!
Navigate Hayden and Arley’s constant bickering. Help them work through each of their insecurities. Maybe, with a bit of luck, you’ll encourage them to finally admit their feelings for one another! Choose between joining the Student Counsel or the Gardening Club and get to know Hayden and Arley respectively. Your choice will determine which boy you play wingman to and gives an interesting look into their thoughts and feelings about the other. After spending five seconds with them, it becomes pretty obvious early on that both Arley and Hayden are looking to “level-up” their relationship.
Play cupid and give each boy advice on how best to make up with the other—like convincing them to have a study date after school. And, if you play your cards right, all your “help” might just help these two dorks start a relationship. It’s no easy task, expect plenty of snarky quips, light teasing, and even a little sweet babies in crisis! These two dorks are absolutely adorable and you’ll eat up every single cute/cringy moment~
JKHA finally has a couple CGs! Just in time for the New Year!
There's a couple things added with this update!
First is Emmett finally has their (canon?) name added as the default! (I'd like to keep them nameable for those who want the option, thought!):
(I also added in a little enter button you can click on to the input screen for anyone who might like that!)
Next is the stats screen! Part of the original jam game plan that I had to cut for time reasons, finally added in! It's mostly just a fun little trivia thing, but I like it! (Accessible through the little pencil button near the textbox!)
A couple little stat things as well as Emmett's running commentary on each of the cast members that updates as the game goes along.
And of course, the CGs! Added right at the very end of the game with a little epilouge for both sides:
It's a pretty small edition (A total of a little under 2k words between the stats screen and the epilouge scenes) but I hope anyone who plays this version likes the addition!
There's also been a couple of smaller changes, such as fixing an issue with the calendar (Every month had an additional day!) As well hopefully fixing the issue that due to her randomized elements, sometimes Nala would explode at the end of the game.
(While adding the epilouge) Hm. That's not right.
That's about it for this update! I'd like to add some more CGs in the future, but no promises it'll be anytime soon... ( I have other projects with this cast to get to! haha.)
I really enjoyed the contrast between Arley and Harden — they totally give off that fun "happy-go-lucky x student council president" vibe, and it makes their interactions so entertaining. I also love how blunt the MC is — it's honestly hilarious at times for some reason and adds a fun layer to the interactions. Moreover, Nanala is honestly way too relatable. The story itself is light and enjoyable, but I do wish there was more fluff and tension to spice things up a bit. It feels like there’s so much potential for those extra romantic moments. Still, I had a great time playing!
It was a very cute, relaxing, and warm. Also the characters are really well-written. The characters are like the characters of a series. I really loved them all. AND the story was very good, and it was long compared to other games, which I liked. I really like that characters have different expressions not like rest of the other games. Other games have the same expression and don't have any good characters that make you love them and are very boring. I really advise trying this game.
gosh is this a good story. not a game, story. visual novel in its 2implest form, no interactions, just dialogue and sprites. but GOSH is it a good story, the beginning is just enough to tell what role each character takes, who does what and so on, while still being short. BUT when the game reaches the halfway mark... i dont even know how much times i bit my nails and paused to process/react to something in gmae. 10/10 gmaes
