100 Years War "is a turn based medieval war chess mobile game of approximately 300 MB. The game is based on the Hundred Years' War between England and France, with 7 levels of tutorials and 32 levels of battles. All levels allow players to choose any faction between England and France. More than 30 medieval units (knights, longbowmen, crossbowmen, artillery, etc.) engage in strategic movements, flanking attacks, and terrain utilization on a hexagonal map.

Gameplay:

Fight the various battles of the 100 Years Was throughout the Medieval ages. Each campaign is themed around fights between the English and French during various different periods of the campaign. Capitalize on strategic advantages to turn the tide of war in your favour; ride down your foes with heavily armoured knights, hold the line with bristling ranks of billmen or strike from afar with the famed English longbow and huge pieces of artillery. Conclusion:

100 Years War is a fun game. Mildly addictive as all good games are. A few minor quibbles. Archers and crossbowmen are perhaps a little too powerful. Almost every battle can be won by the effective use of archers/crossbows. For historical inaccuracy though this pales in comparison to artillery which is far too effective. It fires every go and inflicts significant damage. There are a (very) few glitches in the software; in one battle a unit of cavalry suddenly galloped to the corner of the board, a distance that would normally take about six goes to cover. Sometimes archers cannot fire for no apparent reason. Light infantry can almost always run away from cavalry rather than being simply slaughtered. The scenarios are varied and interesting and each is given a brief historical introduction. If you like tabletop wargames, you'll like this games. The 2d makes life easy and there's little learning curve.Almost all hexwar games use the same system, and they cover a wide range of history.
