Gameplay:

At its core, Buckshot Roulette is simply Russian roulette played with a shotgun. The Shotgun has a random number of "shells" (or rounds, see Terminology) inserted into it. Each shell is either a live or blank. A live shell shoots and does damage, it is alike to a loaded chamber in Russian roulette. A blank shell does not shoot at all, it is alike to an empty chamber in Russian roulette. When you shoot yourself or someone else, a charge is deducted from the entity shot. Charges are equivalent to the traditional lives in gaming.

There are also items that you can use to your advantage. There are a random amount and variety drawn at the beginning of every round, and you choose what item and when to use it. For example, you might have a Hand Saw that makes the Shotgun deal two charges of damage. You would want to use this when you know for sure that the round currently chambered in the Shotgun is live. If you had a Cigarette Pack which gives you an extra charge, you would want to use this after getting shot to regain your health.

The game features three different modes: Story Mode, Double or Nothing, and Multiplayer.

You will spend five minutes trying to remember if the last shell was a blank and the next five minutes regretting your entire existence when the screen goes dark. It is the most fun you can have with a shotgun and a complete lack of self-preservation.

A great implementation of a russian roulette with extra powers. It is basically a push-your-luck board game with a cool coat of paint and aesthetic choices.I enjoyed my almost 1 hour of experimenting with items, but since it is based on russian roulette, I felt that my choices were constantly very limited, and the viable option was almost always a specific one.Keep in mind that I did not try the multiplayer option, which seems to be the real appeal of the game.Overall a short and sweet experience, with the appropriate price tag. Give it a go, especially if you like push-your-luck board games.

Alright. Buckshot Roulette is, well, a bit off center, and you've got to be a bit disturbed to enjoy this game. I enjoyed this game a lot. :)It's a very simple premise. You are meeting up with what seems to be a demonic host (whose name is apparently Josh. LMAO) in a nightclub to play some Russian Roulette....with a shotgun, and an alternate set of rules. Winner takes all...the cash. The cash being actually meaningless outside of being the basis for the game's leaderboard (of which there is one), but at least you know you're leaving with something, lol. You begin in a disgusting bathroom, walk onto a walkway overlooking a grimy dance club, and finally enter the game room itself, which is equally dank and disturbing. You sign a waiver (lol) and the match begins.

I find multiplayer rather lacking though. I wish we could customize the game more. Like a no items mode or only have specific items on etc. Same for shells. I wish we could customize how many blanks or lives could be in a round. Maybe some custom rules as well! Like that you still are able to shoot after having successfully having shot someone else. Plus in game matchmaking, please? I am not all that fond of using discord for it because I don't want to join servers for just one specific thing. but great game nonetheless! as I said Singleplayer is peak!
