Airline Commander

Airline Commander
Introduction

Airline Commander is a flight management simulation game where players create their own airline, recruit suitable employees and captains, open thousands of routes around the world, and make various decisions to attract passengers to fly on their company's aircraft. This generates revenue to purchase various aircraft and routes, gradually building your own aviation empire. Airline Commander also recreates the details of a flight cockpit. Players will encounter various challenges and random weather changes during their flights, requiring them to carefully check all pre-flight details and remain vigilant throughout the flight to ensure safe operation.

Features:

Upon starting the game, players assume the role of a new pilot, tasked with learning how to fly various aircraft. The app features dozens of airliners, including turbine and reaction models, as well as single and double-deck planes. Users can navigate through a variety of aircraft, gaining familiarity with different cockpit controls and procedures. The experience is designed to help players progress from basic flying skills to advanced piloting techniques.

The landscape within Airline Commander is expansive, featuring hundreds of realistic airports and runways. Players can explore a multitude of main hubs, each equipped with taxiways that lead to thousands of potential flight routes. This detailed environment is enhanced by HD satellite images and maps, allowing for effective navigation across various regions and airports around the world.

Real-time aircraft traffic is another significant element of the gameplay. Airline Commander incorporates actual airlines, both on the ground and in the air, providing players with a dynamic flying experience that reflects real-world aviation conditions. This feature enhances the realism of the flight simulation, making it more engaging for users who seek to develop their piloting skills.

Weather conditions are also an integral part of Airline Commander. Players can encounter varying weather scenarios that impact their flying experience, including real-time changes that challenge their ability to adapt and respond. This aspect of the game requires players to employ strategic thinking as they navigate through different flying situations.

The app includes a simplified flight system, which caters to users who may be new to flight simulators. For those who prefer a more challenging experience, there is an option to engage in a full flight simulation mode. This flexibility allows players to choose the level of complexity they want to engage with, making the game accessible to a broader audience while still offering depth for experienced users.

Highlights:

Handle Real-Like Situations: Flying can sometimes be riddled with problems. And you will have to deal with them in this game. For instance, you may have to land in bad weather conditions. These situations test your skills as a pilot and make the game more challenging.

Realistic Aircraft Traffic: You will see airplanes in hangers, others taking off, and some landing. All these activities are happening in real-time and add to the game’s authenticity.

Super Cool STAR/SID Procedure: The game has an accurate reproduction of the Standard Terminal Arrival Routes. All the landing procedures are well-highlighted. They include taxiing and pushback systems.

Multiplayer Option Available: You can fly with or against your friends in multiplayer mode. There are different types of multiplayer games you can play. And they include cooperative, time-based, and score-based missions.

Superior Sound Systems: This game has a 3D surround sound. The sounds of the engine, wind and other aircraft add to the realism. When landing and taking off, you will feel like you are in a real plane.

In-game Camera Views: There are different camera views in the game. You can use them to get a better view of the action. For example, there is an external view that gives you a bird’s eye view of the aircraft.

Strategies:

Calibrate Controls And Practice: The tutorial session in Airline Commander basically ends after you have gone through basic take-off and landing sessions as well as securing both licenses for your first airplane. Once you are free to venture on your own, be sure to check on the settings menu that you can access via the gear icon at the lower left corner of the main screen. There are numerous in-game settings that you can tinker with, but the most important to consider relate to the controls. For starters, there is a Sensitivity Adjustment Setting that you can freely adjust to find the optimum sensitivity level for you. You can also choose between an Accelerometer or Virtual Joystick for input controls. By default, the medium level of sensitivity and accelerometer works great but it can happen that a different setup will work better for you so be sure to test different configurations out.

Understand The Core Gameplay Mechanics: Understanding the core mechanics of Airline Commander is simple enough but it is best to completely understand all the works to ensure that you are on the right path towards a fast and efficient progression rate in your career. There are 3 types of currencies you will continuously earn in your career and these are money, flight points and AC credits. The money stands as the most basic currency you need to purchase new airplanes. New airplanes also require you to invest money on licenses needed to operate them and earn contracts. Having a new license will always open up more routes and contracts that you need to activate using flight points. Contracts may involve taking on more than 1 job and you can earn money as well as flight points for completing them.

Slow And Steady Flights Are Keys To Success: If you are a player who lacks experience in games that revolve around airplanes, or perhaps have played only the more common genres that involve fighter planes and involve a lot of shooting, then one of the things you have to keep in mind are the core gameplay mechanics of Airline Commander. For starters, what you will be typically piloting are passenger planes, so evasive maneuvers or anything close to sudden shifts in movements is neither needed nor helpful to your objective. The first thing you need to focus on as you prepare to pilot a plane, whether it is for take-off or landing, is to keep it as stable as possible and limit movements to the best of your abilities. This may not have a bigger impact on license tests but are especially crucial in landing planes.Just as a reminder, the payout shown for jobs you can accept in your career are actually the maximum amount you can obtain, you will receive the full amount if, and only if, you get a perfect rating across the various metrics that gauge your performance. There are more metrics to consider on a landing, making it a little more challenging than take-offs.

Challenges:

Landing Softness: This challenge has a goal of landing the assigned aircraft as smooth as possible. The closer to 0 v/s (fpm or feet per minute), the better the score. Players must not float or may end up overrunning the runway.

TIP: A good way to land softly is to use autopilot. Set the lowest speed possible in the autopilot, and just the v/s as well. When you’re low enough to the runway, set the v/s to -010, and when you’re about a centimetre away from touchdown, set it to 0, so the winds will bring you down around -1 v/s. The longer the runway is, the less risky to overrun.

Hit the Point: The challenge has a goal to land the aircraft, no matter how hard it’ll be, as long as it doesn’t break apart, mist touchdown on the highlighted bar. The bar may be on the touchdown zone, where the two big rectangles on the runway can be seen near the beginning of the runway.

TIP: to get a better score, steer the plane about 45 degrees to the goth/left. When 1 million ft away as shown near the top of the screen, turn back parallel with the runway, and quickly reduce speed to the VREF with gears and flaps down, and low enough without colliding with any buildings and enough to land. When about 750,000ft - 500,000ft away, turn towards the runway and best aligned with the green bar. When you are close to the runway, about to touch the bar, push to full throttle so you wouldn't stall or run off the runway, and make a loop and land again on the runway safely.

Fast Landing: This is quite a stressful one since you will have to land the assigned aircraft as fast as you can, SAFELY.

TIPS: At the start, push the throttle to full, bring the nose down, and bring it up again as close to the ground so as it descends, it gains speed. Dump fuel as well so you have less weight to fly, until you have around 1 litre of fuel on both sides. When you’re 1.0 nautical mile away from the runway, pull the throttle to idle, extend full flaps, and deploy full brakes, and lower gears as soon as possible. When you are like 0.2 nautical miles away from the runway, brake, and pull the nose up. When you begin to stall, bring the nose back down fast, or the tai might strike the ground, making it a failed attempt. When touched down on the runway, use full reverse thrust and speed brakes. Safely ,anniversary the plane to the left and right of the runway, slowly, to use the friction of the nose gear as it turns.

Final Thoughts:

Airline Commander aims to feel authentic to the player, you will start the game as an apprentice and have the first experience in your career. Of course, during your first rides, you will receive dedicated guidance from seniors with many years of experience. This is the time to gain experience and perfect your driving skills, understanding the workflow and flow of each event in flight will be the necessary foundation to build a brand for yourself.
