Players are placed on a Pacific island, exploring a vast archipelago, discovering new areas, and rescuing captured islanders. In Boom Beach, players need to make strategic decisions and steadily develop their island, raid enemy bases to acquire resources, and test different attack strategies. Your goal is to build your own base and attack enemy islands to obtain various rewards. Players can find over ten different defensive buildings and various offensive units. These can be combined in countless different ways to achieve the optimal balance between offense and defense.

In Boom Beach, there are two tasks to complete: expand your base and attack other bases located in a vast archipelago of islands. The game does of course start with a tutorial, which explains the most basic elements. The most important building in the base is the Headquarters. If enemy troops manage to destroy it, then it gives them an automatic victory. You have to protect it and to do so, you can use sniper towers, a mortar or a machine gun.

Leveling up the Headquarters also gives you access to new types of buildings. Having secured your base, it's time to set out and conquer the dozens of islands that are dotted around in the neighboring sea. Some of them are controlled by the computer, and the development of others are in the hands of the other players. Our troops disembark on the beach. They then attack the nearest enemy building using a flare, which is the default method of attack unless you change it. Also in the bay is your Destroyer, which you can use to fire several destructive missiles or flares.

The gameplay of Boom Beach is very similar to that of Clash of Clans, you just don't have any clans or other groups of players. You fight alone against the Black Guard, which is controlled by the computer as well as against other players. The whole scheme in Boom Beach is more contemporary, and is loosely styled on the era of the Second World War and the battles in the Pacific.

Building an army is a tough challenge, as you have to include your strategic management skills here. Depending on the competitor islands, you have to plan your army of troops to perform effective attacks.

As a Beach commander, you have to explore the archipelago for treasures and hidden secrets. Well, the heroes are amongst the hidden secrets that you have to explore and find. With the numerous heroes, you get the massive superhero that helps your troops to have an advantage in the battles. Each hero comes with a unique superpower, which can make or break your attacks. The best thing about the heroes is that you can upgrade them to enhance their powers and make them the real heroes of your army.

Multiplayer Mode

Well, the Multiplayer mode is available for those who are willing to play with their friends. Don’t worry if you don’t have any friends that play Boom beach. You can join random teams to team up with random players from all around the world. The option to join such teams is very useful as it will pair you with some amazing players. With the teams, you can start special missions every now and then to have an amazing collaborative gameplay experience.

Monthly Events

If you are tired of playing regular games, then you will find joy in the monthly events. There are numerous events per month. The Mr. Crab will return every month with some additional rewards that will help you enjoy the gameplay. Not just that, but there are some weekly events that come with minor twists and minor rewards. With these vents, you can get some additional rewards to gain an advantage in regular attacks.
