Strategies of Chess Universe:

Look for the pawn moves: In the opening first look for a pawn move. Then look for a knight move. Next for a bishop move. Then look for a rook move (or castle). And finally for a queen move. There is a simple reason for it. Pawns define the pawn structure and occupy space taking it away from opponents’ pawns and pieces. That’s why it is a great idea to control the center with the pawns.Knights can be developed quickly and start controlling the center. Developing the knights quickly can accelerate casting. The same idea applies to bishops, as they control the important diagonals and also need to be developed before casting.Rooks usually get developed next, along with the casting. Finally, the queen gets developed. It is the strongest piece. So you don’t want to develop it too early, as it can get under attack.Keep in mind that each move of the pawn decides the features of the board for further moves and gives notice to the general strategy. You may consider your pawns as the fundament of your position. While you develop your pieces, pay attention to how you can underpin your pawns and control the center. That way, you will be well set for a strong middle game. Keep your head in the game and get ready for some really exciting challenges!

Don’t move the same piece twice: Do not move the same piece more than once in the opening if you do not have a good reason for it (such as material gains). Why? The reason is simple.By moving the same piece multiple times, you waste time and don’t let other pieces chance to develop.it is also a good way to avoid a few nasty opening traps.Instead, focus on developing all your pieces in coordination with each other. Balance will give you control over the board and will eventually prepare you for further strategy. Remember, every piece has its role to play, and giving them a chance can lead to a stronger position. Be observant and look for an opportunity to better your setup!

Don’t be greedy for pawns: Do not accept pawn sacrifices during the opening, especially when playing black.Otherwise, you can get a couple of extra pawns, but also get checkmated quickly because of your underdeveloped pieces. Remember, the main purpose of ‘opening’ is to develop pieces quickly and efficiently.Don’t over-invest too much time in fussing over pawns; instead, spend that time on solid development and control of the center. Also, don’t get too excited about material gains but rather the activity and safety of your pieces. The better your position is developed, the easier and stronger your game will be in the middle and end phases. Sharp, and watch how opponents’ moves affect your setup!

Don’t develop your queen too early: Developing the queen too early in the game is usually bad (see Tip 1). By attacking your queen, your opponent can quickly develop his pieces with a tempo.Instead, develop your knights and bishops first. The concept here is to build a sturdy base that subsequently protects your queen. By the time your other pieces are developed, you may now confidently bring out your queen without running any risks of your queen being chased all over the board. Remember, be patient! A well-timed queen move can turn out to be quite valuable later in the game.

Gain central control: Fight for the center. Remember, central squares are very important since they provide outposts for your pieces. Therefore, central pawns are considered to be more valuable than flank ones.Develop your pieces to support the pawns that you play in the center. A strong center provides more options to play with, while at the same time, it makes life difficult for your opponent to mount any attack. Focus on controlling the center, and watch how that transforms your game into a powerhouse!

Player Comments of Chess Universe:

I love the customization aspect of the game. I love a lot about the game but I think thereshould be daily refreshes on ammo and I think there shouldn't be as many dud chests. You play so many games back to back to get a single key just to unlock a dud chest. Andif the chest isn't a dud you get 3-5 cards out towards something that needs 125 cards tofully unlock. Progression is ridiculously slow unless you spend money which makes itseem like that's what the game wants more than anything. Also there needs to be anoption in the settings to have to double click an area to confirm moving a piece. I've losttoo many pieces and games due to accidentally clicking a square one space over leavingmy queen wide open for getting taken. I have big fingers and the largest iPhone on themarket and yet I still keep clicking the wrong space. You need to add a double clicksetting to move.

Revising my one-star review to establish I was able to make contact with the developerand get my questions answered though they made it very difficult! Fortunately, theirnew site has a contact us button and they have been responsive. The app itself is quitegood. I enjoy the training towers, even if they could stand more explanation (something Iam told they are working on), and gameplay is great with lots of options for differenttypes of games. I'm a little old for the cutesy theme items but if it draws in more folks tolearn and play, all the better. Recommend.

've been playing this version for over a year and it's the absolute best. It's great forpeople who are beginners and trying to learn the game. You even go through lessons inthey teach you different strategies on how to get the edge in your opponent. It has evenhelped me in real life scenarios using a real chessboard. from playing this for so long mychest playing skills have been on the whole other level.

Final words:
