Thats Not My Neighbor is a fun and casual game where players are placed in a mysterious world filled with imposters. As a security guard in a neighborhood, you must rigorously check the information on the IDs of tenants and guests entering the complex. If you encounter any problems, call the apartment building to identify and eliminate the imposters. As the game progresses, you'll face increasingly cunning imposters whose stories and ID photos become more perfect. You'll need to use your wit and meticulousness to protect the neighborhood's safety.
That’s Not My Neighbor has gameplay similar to Among Us, that is, you will try to find the doppelganger who wants to enter the apartment. Doppelgangers always try to impersonate, but they always leave a detail that helps you recognize them.
Sitting behind the glass door, you receive a paper introducing the basic information and ID card of each resident who wants to enter the house. You can see their entire upper body, including their face, their clothes. Based on pictures, words and personal information, you must analyze whether it is a real resident of the building or not, or whether it is a doppelganger.
Take a look at your desk, on the right side of the screen, you can see files on everyone in the building. When receiving the guest’s personal information, you should check to see if it matches the information of that person in the apartment. If all is correct and you feel confident in him, press the unlock button to allow him or her to enter the building.
Playing That’s Not My Neighbor, you must really rely on rational analysis and always maintain a skeptical attitude towards everyone. Your life and the lives of many innocent residents rest on your decision. Just one mistake can bring a terrible end to the whole building. The game does not pressure you about time. Therefore, always be careful and carefully examine every detail of the resident to see if he is a real person or not.

Suspenseful Horror Atmosphere: The game excels at creating an eerie and unsettling environment through minimalistic yet effective visuals and sound design. Every interaction feels tense, and players can never be certain of what might happen next. This constant sense of dread plays a major role in the game’s intensity.
Unique Doppelgänger Detection System: One of the standout features is the impostor identification mechanic. Players must compare ID cards, facial features, and personal details while observing behavior for anything unusual. Even the slightest differences can reveal an impostor, adding a layer of depth to each encounter.
Detailed Character Animations: The expressive animations give life to each resident and impostor. Subtle elements like blinking patterns, unusual body language, or odd responses help players determine authenticity, making the gameplay feel more dynamic and engaging.
Challenging Decision-Making: Every choice affects the outcome. Allowing the wrong person inside can result in catastrophic consequences, while denying entry to a legitimate resident may cost valuable points. The game encourages fast yet thoughtful decisions, rewarding accuracy and precision.
Multiple Scenarios and Encounters: Thats Not My Neighbor offers a variety of visitors, each presenting different clues and challenges. These encounters ensure fresh gameplay experiences, keeping players fully invested as they attempt to master the game’s mechanics.

Look For Physical Clues: If you encounter a Doppelganger who is obviously not who they say they are, you are safe to call the D.D.D. on them, but not all Doppelgangers will have obvious physical cues to tell you that they're impersonating a Neighbor.Sometimes, the only visual clue you'll get that a visitor is a Doppelganger, is an incorrect nose, hair direction, mole, or freckle pattern. These are harder details to spot, and if you're not inspecting the Neighbor files closely enough, you can miss them.To avoid misreporting Neighbors and Doppelgangers alike, make sure you double and triple check a visitor's image to the image you have on file. Your files will always be correct!
Always Call The Apartments: Even if a visitor's documents, their appearance, and their access request is correct, they may not be a Neighbor. Some Doppelgangers are more convincing than others, and will quite literally hide in plain sight. The best way to check out a convincing Doppelganger is to call the apartment of who they are impersonating, even if you can check off every item on your checklist as present or correct. If you call the apartment and no one picks up the phone or the Neighbor's roommate corroborates their story, then you're talking to the real deal. If the Neighbor picks up the phone, or their roommate claims they are home, then the visitor at the window is a Doppelganger. There is a glitch where a Neighbor is on the daily visitor list, but still picks up the phone when you call the apartment. If the visitor has all correct information and is on the list, but they pick up the phone, you should still let them in. They are the real Neighbor.
Never Trust Their Story: Some Doppelgangers will insist that their documents are correct or that they left in an emergency. In some cases, visitors who claim they left for an emergency will actually be Neighbors telling the truth. The only way to confirm their story is to call their apartments.Don't automatically discount the 'emergency' story as fake. If you accidentally kill a Neighbor who really left for an emergency, you'll forfeit your chances of getting S Rank. However, Doppelgangers may give you unconvincing reasons for why they left in an emergency or why their appearance looks odd. If their story is suspicious, you should trust your gut and call the D.D.D. after you've exhausted all other methods of identification.Documents can also be convincingly forged. Some Doppelgangers with subtle appearance differences will insist their documentation is correct when questioned. Don't trust them! The only way to accurately diagnose a Visitor's appearance as correct or incorrect is to compare their appearance with the image they have on file, or by looking at their photo on the daily visitor sheet.

Thats Not My Neighbor is a surprisingly tense and clever inspection game. The concept is simple: check documents, observe details, and identify doppelgangers trying to enter the building. But the game constantly keeps you alert, because even a small mistake can lead to serious consequences. What makes the experience great is the atmosphere and the subtle details. Every character forces you to pay attention to small differences, which creates a constant sense of tension. The mechanics are easy to understand, but mastering them takes real observation and patience. The achievements are fun to chase, and completing everything feels rewarding. Getting a perfect campaign run is even more satisfying, since the game allows zero room for mistakes if you want a truly clean record. However, after completing all the achievements and mastering the game, it can feel a bit repetitive.Overall, it's a short but memorable experience. I bought the game for 155 INR. If you enjoy observation-based games with a bit of horror atmosphere, this is definitely worth playing.
Pretty fun game, bought it because I watched Kubz Scouts play it. Fun to try to find out who isn't your neighbor and memorize certain things about certain characters so you instantly know the truth. DELETE CHESTER FROM THE GAME AFTER YOU ANSWER ALL HIS QUESTIONS HES SO ANNOYING. (That wanted poster hunt was hell).
i love this game so much!! i remember when i used to play it in browser. makes me really happy to see that the dev(s) is/are making profit off of it now. the game can be tricky sometimes, but thats what keeps it fun! keep up the good work, i really enjoy it :)
Short game with fair pricing, I love this game and watched Insym play it during its beta phase and official release. Unfortunate some features were removed (hat being left is a hint), wish the campaign mode or humans has a nightmare mode because it gets super easy and predictable after a few runs. I literally only need The Wanted Poster achievement so it gets boring when you repeat them over and over, other than that as someone who enjoys simple yet well thought game it's a +1 for me
Thats Not My Neighbor stands out as a tightly focused mix of strategy, horror, and work simulation. Its strength lies in how it turns simple document comparison into a life-or-death responsibility, supported by a moody 1950s setting and an unnerving sci-fi twist. The range of modes, from story-driven campaign to arcade and puzzle variants, gives you several ways to engage with its core idea.If you enjoy carefully scrutinizing characters, making tough judgment calls, and living with the consequences in a creeping horror context, this is a distinctive and suspenseful pick. Those who dislike body horror or high-pressure decision-making, however, should approach with caution.
